You can add your own artwork or photos to a Samsung The Frame in either of two ways: send images from the SmartThings app, or import them from a USB drive through Art Mode’s My Collection. Prepare and crop images before transferring them; Samsung says you cannot edit photos on the TV itself.
Choose a transfer method

Neither method requires an Art Store membership. The Art Store is an optional way to access Samsung’s curated art collection, rather than a prerequisite for displaying your own images. See Samsung’s overview of artwork for The Frame.
Prepare your images first
Crop and resize images on a phone or computer before transferring them. Samsung’s Art Mode guidance says photos cannot be edited on the TV itself, so make framing decisions in advance.
- Check the support page or manual for your exact model to confirm accepted file formats, image dimensions, and storage capacity. These specifications vary by model and generation.
- As one model-specific example, Samsung Canada lists JPEG support and recommends 1920 × 1080 pixels at 16:9 for the 32-inch LS03C. Those details should not be assumed to apply to every The Frame TV. Samsung Canada’s LS03C specifications
- Samsung’s US design information gives image-storage capacity as 4 GB or 6 GB depending on model and warns that some formats may not be supported. Check the specification for your own TV before relying on a particular capacity or format. Samsung US: The Frame Design
Add photos with SmartThings
- If The Frame is not already registered, add it to the SmartThings app.
- Open the TV in SmartThings and choose Art Mode.
- Tap Add Your Photos, select the prepared images, then choose Save on The Frame.
- Choose an image to display. Samsung’s documented workflow also offers artistic effects and slideshow use.

Import photos from USB
- Copy the image files you want to display to a USB storage device.
- Connect the device to the appropriate USB port on the TV or One Connect Box, as applicable to your model.
- Put the TV in Art Mode and open My Collection.
- Select the USB device, choose Save, select the images, and confirm Save Selected.
- When saving is complete, open My Collection → My Photos and select an imported image to display.
Do not disconnect the USB device while the TV is saving images. Samsung documents this USB route alongside SmartThings in its artwork guide and Art Mode guide.
Make the image fit the display
After import, select the image in My Photos and use the available display options to choose its presentation. The available artistic effects and slideshow features are part of Samsung’s documented workflow, but exact options can vary by model and software.

Matte options are model- and market-specific too. For example, Samsung Canada lists five matte layouts and 16 colors for its 75-inch LS03D product page; this is an example for that product listing, not a universal set of options across The Frame range. Samsung Canada’s LS03D page

- Check that the file format is supported by your exact TV model; Samsung warns that some image formats may not work.
- Try preparing a compatible image at the dimensions recommended for your model. Do not treat the LS03C’s JPEG and 1920 × 1080 recommendation as a universal specification.
- For USB imports, confirm that the device is connected to the correct port or One Connect Box and keep it connected until saving finishes.
- If SmartThings does not show the TV or photo-upload controls, confirm the TV is registered in the app and consult the Samsung instructions for your region and software version.
