Open the Contacts app, tap +, choose where the contact should be saved, enter the details, and tap Save. The save-location choices and screens can vary by Galaxy model, software version, carrier, configured accounts, and SIM availability.
How to add a contact to your Samsung phone

Open the Contacts app.

Tap Add or the + icon.

Tap the save-location drop-down and choose a destination, such as Phone or a Google account if those options appear.

Enter the contact’s details. The form can accept more than one phone number and email address.

Tap Save.

Where should you save contacts on a Samsung Galaxy?
The destination you select determines whether the contact is associated with the phone or an account. The available choices depend on which accounts are linked to the device and, for SIM storage, whether a SIM is available.

Save a new contact to Google so it syncs
When creating the contact, select the intended Google account in the save-location drop-down before entering or saving the contact. A contact saved to Phone or a different account is not saved to Google just because a Google account is also on the phone.
Samsung UK documents this sync route: Contacts > Menu > Manage contacts > Sync contacts. Enable the Google account and tap Sync. Menu placement and labels can change, so use the corresponding controls on your device if this route differs. Samsung recommends backing up Google contacts before syncing and cautions that sync errors may delete contacts that might not be recoverable. Samsung UK’s Google Contacts sync instructions

Can you save contacts to an eSIM?
Do not assume eSIM contact storage is available. Samsung Philippines says saving contacts to an eSIM is no longer supported on devices running One UI 6.1 or later; availability can also depend on country and carrier. Samsung Philippines’ eSIM contact notice
