The accepted options are American Express, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Du, Etisalat, and Apple Pay. Eligibility depends on the account’s PlayStation Store country or region and billing details—not just on seeing AED as the currency.
Check that your account uses the UAE PlayStation Store
PlayStation’s accepted-payment list is specific to the UAE Store; payment methods can differ by country or region. Confirm the Store region before trying to add a method. The UAE list includes American Express, Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Du, Etisalat, and Apple Pay. PlayStation says an adult account can save up to three credit or debit cards, one payment service, and one mobile-payment method. See PlayStation’s UAE accepted-payment methods.
Add a credit or debit card
Use the route for your device. Enter the card details and billing address exactly as registered with the card issuer, then save the method.
On the web
- Sign in to Account Management.
- Select Payment Method, then Add Payment Method > Add a Credit/Debit Card.
- Enter the card details and select Next.
- Enter the billing address and save.
On PS5
- Open Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Payment Methods.
- Choose the card option, enter the card and billing details, and save.
On PS4
- Open PlayStation Store and scroll to the bottom of the sidebar.
- Select Payment Methods, add the card, and save its billing address.
In the PlayStation App
- Open the Store and tap the menu icon.
- Select Payment Methods and add the card.
PlayStation’s UAE card instructions cover these device routes. Payment information entered while shopping in the Store is saved to the account as well.

Link PayPal or use mobile billing
PayPal
Link PayPal through Account Management or the Store’s payment-method menu. PlayStation’s UAE PayPal guide includes the UAE among supported regions. Read PlayStation’s PayPal instructions.
Du or Etisalat
For UAE mobile billing, select mobile payment at checkout and follow the on-screen carrier instructions. PlayStation also describes adding wallet funds through Payment Management or the console’s wallet settings. See the mobile-payment guide.

If your card will not save
- Check online payments: Make sure online transactions are enabled for the card.
- Match the issuer’s records: Review the card number, expiry date, security code, name, and billing address for accuracy.
- Check country alignment: PlayStation warns that a card registered to an address in a different country from the Store region may not link.
- Stop repeated attempts if blocked: If PlayStation says payment details were updated too often, wait 24 hours before trying again. Another attempt during the waiting period restarts the block.
For further card troubleshooting, consult PlayStation’s card-payment troubleshooting guide. If the details appear correct but linking still fails, contact the card issuer or PlayStation Support rather than repeatedly retrying.

PlayStation’s UAE payment page says, “Your wallet can be topped up using a registered payment method or PlayStation gift cards.” Before buying a UAE PlayStation Store gift card or wallet top-up code, confirm the code’s region and currency: Sony’s March 2026 terms say prepaid wallet cards must use the currency of the country designated for the account. Child accounts cannot add their own payment methods or wallet funds. They can spend from the family manager’s wallet, subject to the monthly spending limit set for that child account. PlayStation’s UAE payment page explains wallet funding and account limits.
