To enter BIOS setup on a Samsung Galaxy Book, turn on or restart the laptop and repeatedly tap F2 before the Samsung logo appears. If Windows or a password screen loads instead, restart and try again. The exact key or menu can vary by model and region, so consult your model’s manual if these steps do not match your laptop.
Enter BIOS setup with F2
- Start or restart your Samsung laptop.
- As it powers on, repeatedly tap F2 before the Samsung logo appears.
- When the BIOS setup screen opens, use the available controls to review or change settings.
Samsung’s Galaxy Book guidance documents this key and timing. If Windows starts or a password screen appears, restart and try again, pressing F2 earlier in startup. The instructions are documented for Galaxy Book models; Samsung does not establish that the same key works for every Samsung laptop generation. Samsung France’s Galaxy Book BIOS instructions and Samsung India’s Galaxy Book6 diagnostics guidance both describe F2 before the logo.
BIOS setup or boot-device menu?
These are different startup destinations: BIOS setup is for firmware settings; the boot-device menu lets you choose a device for a particular startup. Samsung documents F10 for the latter when starting from external media—not as the BIOS setup key in that procedure.

What you can change in BIOS
Depending on the model and BIOS version, settings may include a startup password, disk boot order, and some chipset features. The available options and screen layout are not identical across all Samsung laptops.

If F2 does not open BIOS
- Restart and begin tapping F2 earlier, before the Samsung logo appears.
- Check the manual for your exact laptop model; Samsung notes that sequences and settings can differ by product and region.
- If the manual does not resolve the mismatch, contact Samsung support for your region. Samsung’s Hong Kong BIOS guidance specifically advises checking the model’s user manual when screens or procedures differ.
