The Motorola HS810 is a Bluetooth headset for hands-free phone calls—not an analog telephone device. Its “analog” feel comes from physical controls: open the boom to power it on, use the multifunction button for calls, and close the boom to turn it off. Which call features work depends on the Bluetooth profile supported by the paired phone.
What the Motorola HS810 does
Motorola’s HS810 user guide describes a wireless Bluetooth headset designed to work with a Bluetooth-capable phone. It supports the Bluetooth Headset and Hands Free profiles. The headset sends and receives calls through its Bluetooth connection; the guide does not describe an analog telephone line or analog wireless transmission. How its physical controls work
The HS810’s boom contains the microphone and also controls power: opening it turns the headset on, and closing it turns the headset off. A multifunction button handles several calling actions, while separate volume buttons adjust the sound level in the headset’s speaker.
The guide also identifies an indicator LED, earhook, speaker, charging port, lanyard loop, and removable speaker shroud. The shroud helps direct sound toward the ear; the guide says it can be removed if it feels uncomfortable.

How to pair an HS810 with a phone
- With the boom closed, press and hold the multifunction button until the indicator turns on, then release the button and open the boom.
- On the phone, start Bluetooth device discovery and select Motorola HS810 when it appears.
- If prompted for a passkey, enter 0000.
After pairing, the guide says the HS810 automatically connects to the phone when the boom is opened. It gives an approximate Bluetooth communication range of 10 meters (33 feet); this is not a guaranteed distance in every environment. Which call features are available
The HS810’s controls can support functions such as voice dialing, redialing, rejecting a call, placing a call on hold, and handling a second incoming call. The guide’s call-function table distinguishes behavior by Bluetooth profile, and cautions that some phones do not support every listed feature. Check the phone’s own documentation to see which profile and functions it supports.

Will an HS810 pair with a current phone?
Pairing with a particular current phone is not established by the guide alone. The phone must support Bluetooth and the relevant profile for the call functions you want; the guide does not verify compatibility with specific current phone models. If you are considering a used HS810, check the headset’s condition, battery operation, included charger and fit of the earhook and speaker shroud before buying. The guide identifies a charging port and says a Motorola charger was included, but it does not establish a replacement charger model or connector specification.
