What is NMDC’s dividend record date?
The record date is the date NMDC uses to identify shareholders entitled to a particular dividend. It applies to one corporate action, not to every dividend the company may declare. A new interim or final dividend can have a different record date.
In its 3 February 2026 notice for the first interim dividend of FY 2025–26, NMDC said eligible holders were those whose names appeared in the Register of Members or in depository records as beneficial owners on the record date. The dividend was ₹2.50 per equity share. NMDC’s corporate announcements
For that dividend, an India International Exchange circular identified 13 February 2026 as both the record date and ex-date. That date has passed; it is a historical example, not a current or upcoming eligibility date. India International Exchange circular dated 10 February 2026

Who is eligible for an NMDC dividend?
Eligibility depends on whether the relevant company or depository records show you as a shareholder on the record date for that dividend. For dematerialized holdings, check the settled holding reflected in your broker or depository records and compare it with the dates in the corporate-action notice. A general description of the record date cannot confirm an individual investor’s entitlement.
Do not assume that buying NMDC shares on the record date itself will qualify you. The operative test is the holding position reflected in the records used to determine entitlement for that event. The notices cited here do not establish a universal outcome for late trades, failed settlement, or unusual account situations; check your broker or depository if one applies.

Record date, ex-date, and payment date: what is the difference?
- Record date: The date used to identify eligible shareholders for a particular dividend.
- Ex-date: A market date associated with the dividend. For NMDC’s first FY 2025–26 interim dividend, India International Exchange reported the same date—13 February 2026—as both the ex-date and record date. Confirm both dates in the notice for the specific event.
- Payment date or period: The later period in which the dividend is paid or dispatched. It is separate from the eligibility determination.
How to check an NMDC dividend and its dates
- Find the dividend notice. Use NMDC’s corporate announcements to identify the relevant financial year, whether the dividend is interim or final, and the amount per share.
- Read the conditions. Check whether the notice describes a declared interim dividend or a proposed final dividend that still requires shareholder approval.
- Confirm the record date and ex-date. Use the company notice or exchange filing for that corporate action; do not carry forward dates from an earlier dividend.
- Check your holding records. Review your broker or depository account for the relevant holding and any event-specific information. The company notice sets the eligibility terms, but your account records determine what happened in your case.

NMDC’s 30 July 2025 notice made the proposed FY 2024–25 final dividend conditional on AGM approval. A proposed final dividend should not be treated as guaranteed before the stated approval condition is met. NMDC corporate announcements

When will an NMDC dividend be credited?
The record date does not specify the day your bank will receive the funds. NMDC’s FY 2024–25 annual report says dividends declared during the year under review were paid within 30 days of declaration, in accordance with the Companies Act, 2013. That is the company’s reported payment practice, not confirmation of an individual credit date. What to do if an NMDC dividend is not credited
- Verify the event and your entitlement. Match the dividend’s financial year and record date with your holding and depository or broker records.
- Check your payment details. Review the bank account and contact details associated with your investment records, and look for any payment or rejection information from your broker, depository, or bank.
- Search NMDC’s unpaid-dividend information. NMDC lists records for unpaid and unclaimed dividends, including FY 2025–26 interim and FY 2024–25 final dividend information. NMDC Unclaimed and Unpaid Dividends
- Follow up with the relevant account provider or company contact. Use the details and process in the applicable NMDC notice or investor information; the public notices alone cannot establish the status of a particular shareholder’s payment.
