The RTX 5060 Ti launched with suggested prices of $379 for the 8GB model and $429 for the 16GB model, but later U.S. retail snapshots showed listings above $500—sometimes far above it. So $500 is a plausible price seen for some cards, not NVIDIA’s official price or a standard price for every RTX 5060 Ti.
RTX 5060 Ti launch prices
NVIDIA announced the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti on April 16, 2025, with two memory configurations and separate starting prices:
| Configuration | NVIDIA launch price |
|---|---|
| RTX 5060 Ti 8GB GDDR7 | $379 |
| RTX 5060 Ti 16GB GDDR7 | $429 |
These are the manufacturer’s announced launch prices, not guarantees that every board-partner card would be available at those amounts. NVIDIA’s launch announcement gives the date, configurations, and starting prices.
Why some RTX 5060 Ti cards cost $500 or more
Retail prices vary by memory capacity, board-partner model, retailer, and availability. Two U.S. price snapshots illustrate the difference between launch pricing and observed listings:

- AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS
- OC mode: 2632 MHz (OC mode)/ 2602 MHz (Default mode)
- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
- Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis
| Source and snapshot | RTX 5060 Ti 8GB | RTX 5060 Ti 16GB |
|---|---|---|
| Tom’s Hardware U.S. price table, 2026 | $429 best price; $319 lowest-ever price | $569 best price; $379 lowest-ever price |
| PC Gamer price watch, accessed 2026 | $487.99 for a listed MSI card at Amazon | $779.99 for a listed MSI card at Walmart |
These are source-specific observations, not live quotes or prices that apply to all cards. The historical lows in Tom’s Hardware’s table also differ from its listed best prices, underscoring that a card’s price can move over time. Check the exact model, capacity, retailer, stock, and current checkout price before buying. Tom’s Hardware’s price table and PC Gamer’s price watch provide the cited snapshots.
What the $500 figure does—and does not—mean
The $500 figure is not NVIDIA’s announced RTX 5060 Ti MSRP, nor does it describe one fixed price for the product family. A listing near $500 can fall between the official starting prices and the higher retail examples above, depending on which model is being sold and when the listing is checked.

There is also industry reporting about a hypothetical $500 16GB graphics card in a discussion of memory economics. Tom’s Hardware attributes that example to Gigabyte CEO Eddie Lin; it is not confirmation that a particular RTX 5060 Ti officially costs $500. Read the report on the hypothetical example.

NVIDIA lists the RTX 5060 Ti as part of its Blackwell-based RTX 5060 desktop family. Both capacity options have 4,608 CUDA cores and a listed 2.57 GHz boost clock; the memory is GDDR7, with 8GB or 16GB depending on the card. NVIDIA also promotes DLSS 4, ray tracing, and Reflex features for the launch family. NVIDIA’s product specifications list the core count, boost clock, and memory options.

How to compare prices before buying
- Match the capacity. Confirm whether the listing is for the 8GB or 16GB card; their launch prices differ by $50.
- Identify the exact board-partner model. Compare the make and model, not only the “RTX 5060 Ti” name.
- Check the current offer. Confirm the seller, stock, and price at checkout; a dated price table or price-watch page may no longer reflect the live listing.
- Use the right benchmark comparison. For performance or value comparisons with another GPU, look for independent tests using matching games, settings, and frame-generation conditions. The price observations here do not establish which capacity or alternative GPU is the better performer or value.
