Hosted website screenshot monitoring has no single market-wide per-page price. Published examples range from usage-based pricing of $8 per 1,000 captured pages to subscriptions whose cost depends on monitored-page or monthly-check allowances. To estimate your bill, first determine what each service counts as a billable unit, then factor in monitoring frequency, viewports, browsers, and included features.

What published services charge

The examples below were listed by vendors on October 3, 2026. They use different billing units, so the prices are not directly comparable as a single per-page rate.

Service Published price and allowance What the unit means
ScreenshotNeo Free: 1,000 shots/month with no card. Starter: $5 for 3,000; Growth: $15 for 15,000; Pro: $39 for 60,000; Scale: $99 for 250,000; Business: $249 for 1,000,000. Yearly billing gives 2 months free. Screenshot API shots, rather than a subscription allowance of monitored URLs. Every feature is on every plan.
Apify Website Screenshot & Visual Change Monitor From $8 per 1,000 page captures. Charges per page captured on every run, including pages whose changes are suppressed from output; failed-to-load pages are not charged. This is a community-maintained actor listing, not a first-party Apify-operated monitoring product.
PixelHawk Free: 1 monitored page. Starter: $20/month for 25 pages; Pro: $49/month for 100; Business: $99/month for 300. The page also displays yearly-billing equivalents of $16.67, $40.83, and $82.50 per month, billed yearly. Monitored pages, with daily scheduled checks on paid plans. Features vary by plan, including history, manual runs, screen widths, environments, seats, login support, and integrations.
WebChange Detector Free: 10 checks. Micro: $9/month for 300; Solo: $17/month for 1,000; Team: $45/month for 3,000; Studio: $85/month for 6,000; Scale: $270/month for 20,000. Prices exclude tax. One check means one page at one screen size. A URL checked on desktop and mobile uses two checks. Allowances reset monthly and do not roll over.
ScanU Pro: €19/month for 3,000 screenshot credits; Pro+: €29/month for 10,000; Max: €49/month for 50,000. VAT may apply. One credit is one screenshot of one page, one device, and one browser.
Verivisor Free: 50 screenshots monthly; Pro: 1,000 screenshots monthly for $24/month. Screenshot allowance. Its page presents the free plan as “£0 / month”; verify the currency presentation before relying on it.
SiteRender.ai Plan amounts were not stated in readable form on the accessed pricing page. Flat monthly subscription, with page count and crawl depth determined by plan; no credits or per-check fees are described.

How to calculate your likely monthly usage

Start with URLs, then multiply by how often you capture them and how many screen, device, browser, or environment combinations are billed separately. These are calculations from vendor billing units, not market-wide averages.

  1. Count the pages. List the URLs you need to monitor. Confirm whether a plan limits monitored URLs or charges for each captured page.
  2. Choose the cadence. A page captured once each day generates about 30 captures in a 30-day month at one configuration. More frequent runs increase usage where each capture is billable.
  3. Count configurations. If desktop and mobile count separately, two configurations double the checks. Additional browser or staging/production combinations may increase usage further, depending on the service.
  4. Apply the vendor’s unit. Multiply billable captures by the number of runs, or check whether your expected URL count fits within a monitored-page subscription.
  5. Compare the resulting allowance with the plan. Include expected manual or on-demand captures if they consume the same quota.

For example, 100 URLs captured daily at one screen size imply about 3,000 captures in a 30-day month. If desktop and mobile are each billed as a separate check, the same schedule implies about 6,000 checks. This is arithmetic, not a price quote; use the service’s precise definition of a run and allowance.

What changes the real cost

What counts as a page or screenshot

A monitored URL is not necessarily one billable screenshot. A service may count each capture, each page-and-screen-size check, or each page-device-browser combination. Confirm this before comparing headline prices.

Frequency and failed captures

More frequent monitoring increases the number of billable runs on usage-based services. Check whether failed loads, unchanged pages, or suppressed change reports are still charged: the Apify actor listing says failed-to-load pages are not charged, but unchanged pages are charged even when their output is suppressed.

Plan inclusions and fees

History retention, alerting, integrations, team seats, login support for protected pages, environments, and manual runs can affect value. Compare these alongside quotas. Check whether taxes or VAT apply and confirm the currency, particularly when a price page displays inconsistent currency information.

A practical way to compare plans

  • Write down the number of URLs, capture schedule, and required viewport, device, browser, and environment combinations.
  • Translate that workload into the vendor’s actual billable unit: monitored URL, check, credit, or page capture.
  • Calculate expected monthly usage, including on-demand runs, then divide the monthly subscription price by the captures you expect to use. Do not divide only by the number of URLs if the service bills per check.
  • Compare history, alerts, access controls, team features, integrations, failure billing, rollover rules, and tax treatment.
  • Use current vendor pricing pages to verify any plan before committing; published prices and allowances can change.

Or skip the browser setup

If your goal is to capture pages through an API rather than operate a monitoring schedule, ScreenshotNeo returns a screenshot or PDF from one GET request. See the API documentation for parameters and response details.

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

ScreenshotNeo removes cookie and consent banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; those steps can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, failed loads, timeouts, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify the page verdict and billing status. An MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents, including Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients. The free plan includes 1,000 shots a month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 shots. Every feature is on every plan. Sign up for the free plan.

Does one URL always use one screenshot credit?

No. Depending on the provider, a URL captured on multiple screen sizes, devices, or browsers can use multiple billable checks or credits.
