The right choice depends on how often you use Agent, which models you select, and whether you need team administration. Usage beyond included amounts can add charges, so the subscription price is not always the full bill.

Which Cursor plan should you choose?
Choose Hobby to try Cursor
Hobby is a sensible starting point if you want to explore the editor and its AI features without a subscription. Cursor describes access to Agent, Chat, and Tab completions with the Auto model, subject to limited usage. It requires no card and includes Composer access.

Choose Pro for individual paid use
At $20 per month, Pro is Cursor’s paid entry plan for individuals who need extended Agent limits and frontier model access. It is a reasonable starting point if you know you will use Cursor regularly, but do not assume the subscription covers a fixed number of tasks: model choice and the current usage rules affect how far the included amount goes.
Consider Pro+ for daily Agent use
Cursor recommends Pro+ for daily Agent users and lists 3x Pro Agent limits compared with Pro. The $60 monthly price makes most sense when you routinely hit Pro’s limits and the higher allowance is likely to reduce additional usage charges.
Rank #2
Consider Ultra for heavy Agent use
Cursor positions Ultra, at $200 per month, for power users and lists 20x Pro Agent limits plus priority access to new features. Before upgrading, weigh the higher fixed subscription against the extra usage you expect to need.
Choose Teams for shared administration
Teams Standard costs $40 per user per month. It is aimed at organizations that need centralized billing and administration, shared context for cloud agents and automations, analytics, team-wide privacy controls, or SAML/OIDC single sign-on. Teams Premium is listed at $120 per user per month; check the current pricing page for the tier’s feature details.

Ask about Enterprise for procurement and controls
Enterprise has custom pricing. Cursor lists capabilities such as pooled usage, invoice or purchase-order billing, SCIM seat management, access controls, audit logs, service accounts, and priority support, which may matter more than the per-seat price when an organization has procurement or governance requirements.
Compare Start if you are in India
Cursor lists Start at ₹649 per month, including tax, for India. It covers Cursor Models but not the Other Models pool, so compare that restriction with the models you expect to use before choosing it over another plan.

Why your Cursor bill can exceed the subscription price
Cursor says every plan includes a set amount of model usage. After that amount is consumed, users can continue with on-demand usage billed in arrears. The selected model affects how quickly usage is consumed, so a $20 subscription does not guarantee the same amount of work for every user.
Pro, Pro Plus, and Ultra include two usage pools: Cursor Models and Other Models. Cursor Models include the models it lists, such as Grok and Composer; Other Models covers third-party models at model pricing. Start includes only Cursor Models. Names and prices can change; consult Cursor Models & Pricing for current details.
Best Value
Cursor’s billing documentation says Auto requests are billed at the list price of whichever model the router selects, and third-party models may also incur the Cursor Token Rate. Because routing and model prices affect consumption, check your usage dashboard and current model pricing when setting a budget.
