In public vendor pricing pages reviewed on October 3, 2026, listed screenshot API prices range from about $0.25 to $9 per 1,000 included captures. The range is not a market average: plans differ in what they count, how they bill, and what happens when a capture fails or a quota runs out. For a useful comparison, calculate the cost at your expected monthly volume and check the service’s billing and throughput limits.
Example prices per 1,000 screenshots
The figures below are vendor-listed offers as of October 3, 2026. Pricing pages did not state publication dates, and rates and plan terms may change; confirm current terms with each vendor. Prices are in U.S. dollars.
| Service and offer | Monthly price or rate | Included volume | Normalized price | Billing and quota notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ScreenshotNeo Growth | $15/month | 15,000 screenshots/month | $1.00 per 1,000 | Monthly plan. Failed shots, bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache-served results are not counted. Request-rate and simultaneous-render limits vary by plan. [c001] |
| ScreenshotNeo Business | $249/month | 1,000,000 screenshots/month | $0.25 per 1,000 | Monthly plan; the listed unit rate reflects the full monthly allowance. [c001] |
| Screenshot API metered | $0.001 per shot | No subscription required | $1.00 per 1,000 | Metered billing. Larger listed prepaid packs reach $0.0008 per shot ($0.80 per 1,000). The vendor says only successful screenshots count; server interruptions and page-load failures are non-billable. [c002] |
| Site-Shot entry plan | $5/month | 2,000 captures/month | $2.50 per 1,000 included | Additional captures listed at $0.0025 each. Saved-image capacity is separate from monthly capture allowance. [c003] |
| ScreenURL Starter | $9/month | 1,000 screenshots/month | $9.00 per 1,000 | Failed calls and cached responses do not count. At quota, requests return HTTP 429; the vendor says it does not automatically charge overages. [c004] |
| WebsiteScreenshot.io base package | $3/month | 1,000 credits/month | $3.00 per 1,000 credits | Additional credits listed at $0.003 each. API access is included in the paid package; the page offers selectable volumes up to 100,000 credits. [c005] |
Among these examples, the lowest arithmetic rate is ScreenshotNeo Business at $0.25 per 1,000, but it requires a $249 monthly plan and a million-capture allowance. That does not make it the cheapest fit for a low-volume workload. The highest listed normalized offer is ScreenURL Starter at $9 per 1,000. These are individual vendor offers, not a representative market-wide average.
Why “per 1,000” can be misleading
A request, a successful image, and a credit may differ
Before comparing unit prices, establish what the service counts: an API request, a successfully returned image, an exported file, or a vendor-defined credit. A service that bills attempts can cost more in practice than one that bills only successful captures, especially if pages are unreliable or protected by bot checks. A credit may also cover an operation differently from a single image.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Monthly allowance is not the same as pay-as-you-go
A plan’s normalized rate usually divides its recurring fee by all included captures, assuming you use the full allowance. If you pay $15 for 15,000 captures but use only 3,000, your effective cost for that month is $5 per 1,000 successful captures, not $1. Prepaid packs, metered billing, and recurring subscriptions also differ in when you pay and whether unused capacity carries forward; check the vendor’s terms rather than assuming.
Failures, cache hits, and quota behavior change the bill
Check whether failed loads, bot checks, timeouts, and cached responses consume allowance or incur a charge. Then find out what happens at the quota limit: requests may be blocked, or additional usage may be billed. For example, ScreenURL says it returns a 429 at quota and does not automatically charge overages; other plans may have different rules. [c004]

Throughput and storage can constrain a low unit price
A plan can be inexpensive per capture yet unsuitable if its request-rate or simultaneous-render limits cannot support your workload. Storage may be a separate allowance too: Site-Shot lists saved-image capacity separately from capture volume, so deleting stored images can affect retention without restoring capture credits. [c001] [c003]
How to calculate your real monthly cost
- Define the unit. Decide whether your workload needs successful images, requests, or another operation the provider bills as a credit.
- Estimate volume. Count expected captures for a typical month, including retries and any extra image formats or viewport variants your workflow requests.
- Apply the plan rules. Calculate the subscription or prepaid cost at that volume, including overages, and account for unused allowance if you will not consume it.
- Subtract non-billable outcomes only when documented. Check the provider’s stated rules for failed captures and cache hits; do not assume they are free.
- Verify operational fit. Compare request-rate and concurrency limits, storage or retention, and what the API does when quota is exhausted.
A useful comparison is the actual expected monthly bill divided by the number of successful images you expect to receive, multiplied by 1,000. Keep the expected bill and the successful-image count separate: a low headline price per included capture is not necessarily a low cost per usable result.
