How much batter does the Cuisinart WAF-V100 need?
Cuisinart’s WAF-V100 instruction booklet recommends ¾ to 1 cup (175–250 ml) per waffle, with the batter’s thickness affecting how much to use. The booklet advises, “Always err on less rather than more, as batter tends to expand while cooking.” Use the measuring cup supplied with the appliance as your portioning guide. How to pour batter without overfilling
- Start with a conservative amount. Do not fill the grid to the top; leave room for the batter to expand as it cooks.
- Pour ordinary batter steadily through the spout.
- Add thicker batter more carefully. Let batter in the spout drain into the grid before adding more.
- Check the consistency if it will not flow. The WAF-V100 booklet says batter that does not flow easily through the spout may be too thick. Whisk it smooth or add liquid a tablespoon at a time.
Does this amount apply to every vertical waffle maker?
No. The ¾-to-1-cup guidance is for the Cuisinart WAF-V100, not a universal serving size. Vertical makers can differ in design and instructions, so use the manual and measuring cup supplied with your appliance.
