There is no official hour count for finishing Ghost of Yōtei. Sucker Punch says playtime depends on how much you explore, and describes completing Atsu’s story and discovering everything as taking “a great many hours.” After the campaign, you can replay it in New Game+, revisit camps and duels, play additional solo content, or join co-op in Legends.
How long is Ghost of Yōtei?
Sucker Punch does not give a numeric completion-time estimate. Its FAQ, published September 29, 2025, says the answer depends on the player and the time spent exploring its characters, locations, and secret items. It adds that following Atsu’s story to its conclusion and discovering all the world has to offer will take “a great many hours.”

That is the most precise official answer available: the studio has not specified a campaign-only or completionist duration in hours. Your playtime will vary with exploration and optional activities, so a single number should not be treated as an official estimate.

Replay the campaign with New Game+
New Game+ unlocks after you finish the main story. It lets you restart Atsu’s quest with armor, abilities, and weapons earned on your first run available from the beginning, and adds harder difficulty options. The update also introduced a vendor that accepts Ghost Flowers, more than 30 cosmetics, 10 charms, additional upgrade tiers, and two trophies. Sucker Punch’s November 19, 2025 announcement confirms the unlock condition and harder options; its November 24, 2025 patch 1.100 notes detail the update features.

Replay camps and duels
Patch 1.100 makes all 22 Yōtei Six Camps and 26 duels replayable, giving you a way to return to focused combat challenges after completing them during the story. The same patch added two armor sets and Photo Mode features, alongside the New Game+ additions listed above.
Play Echoes of Sekigahara or Most Wanted
As of October 3, 2026, PlayStation’s announced October 2026 v2.0 rollout dates have passed. The update’s added solo experiences are Echoes of Sekigahara, a narrative expansion that moves between the present and Atsu’s past, and Most Wanted, a single-player combat-survival mode described as the developer’s take on a roguelike. The expansion introduces a previously unseen valley, characters, enemies, heavy weapons, armor sets, and dyes. In Most Wanted, players take bounties, start runs, earn perks by defeating enemies, and unlock additional characters.

The PlayStation announcement says v2.0 was available globally on October 1, 2026, and on October 2 in some territories, including Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. It also lists free patch additions for base-game owners: Beauty of Yōtei, Watanabe Mode tracks, the ability to separate armor appearance from its stats, and a high-contrast accessibility option. Check your region and edition for access to the expansion and other edition-specific content.

Legends is a separate online co-op experience, not part of the solo campaign. It supports up to four players and includes multiple modes that culminate in a Raid. See PlayStation’s Ghost of Yōtei page for the official game information.

Yes. The official US PlayStation product page lists a PS5 Blu-ray Standard Edition. Edition and add-on availability can vary by region, so check the local PlayStation Store or retailer listing for what is included before buying.
