Fortnite’s Item Shop is a changing catalog, not a fixed calendar: check each item’s listing for its planned departure date and the shop’s displayed rotation time for your time zone. Collaboration items can return during a specifically announced window, but neither past appearances nor the Battle Pass resale policy guarantee when—or whether—a particular cosmetic will come back.

How Fortnite Item Shop rotations work

The Item Shop lists virtual items such as outfits, other cosmetics, bundles, and special offers. Inventory and prices change, so a page or screenshot seen earlier may no longer reflect what is available. Epic directs players to inspect the in-game shop for item details; its live Item Shop is also a changing snapshot.

Epic changed how timing is presented in an update on April 9, 2024. Rather than showing one overall shop refresh timer, the interface shows the shop rotation time in each player’s time zone. Epic also said that, beginning in late May 2024, planned departure dates for individual items would appear in their descriptions. As Epic put it, “Beginning in late May 2024, we will also add the planned date that every individual item will rotate out of the Shop to the item’s description page.” See Epic’s shop and Locker changes announcement.

Use the item’s own description as the practical guide to how long it is listed. A displayed departure date is a planned rotation-out date, not a promise that the item will return later. Likewise, the shop’s rotation time tells you when the catalog changes, not that every current offer will remain available until then.

What to check before buying

  • Confirm the item name and what cosmetics are included in its listing.
  • Check the displayed V-Bucks price, including whether a bundle costs less than buying its listed items separately.
  • Read the item description for its planned departure date or stated availability window.
  • Check the current in-game listing rather than relying on an old price or shop image.

When do Fortnite collaboration skins come back?

There is no universal return calendar established for collaborations. Epic may announce a shop window for a particular franchise, but that announcement applies to that event—not to every collaboration or future appearance of its items.

For example, on April 30, 2026, Epic announced that new and returning Star Wars outfits and items would rotate through the shop throughout May 2026. The announcement said, “New and returning Star Wars Outfits and items will be rotating through the Shop all month long.” This is evidence of a specific Star Wars window, not a promise of an annual schedule or a clue to the next return of another collaboration. Check the current shop and official announcements for the particular item; without a current listing or announcement, its next appearance cannot be confirmed. See Epic’s Star Wars announcement.

Can Battle Pass cosmetics come to the Item Shop?

Epic’s August 7, 2024 policy applies to items in future Battle Passes: they might be offered in the shop at least 18 months after the relevant pass expires. The 18-month point is an earliest possible threshold, not a scheduled return date. Epic explicitly says that no item is guaranteed to return, and the number of alternate styles included may vary. The policy should not be treated as a general return rule for older shop cosmetics or collaboration items.

Epic’s FAQ answers the guarantee question directly: “No. Shop selection is dependent on a variety of factors, and there is no guarantee that a Battle Pass item will come to the Shop after this change goes into effect.” Read Epic’s Battle Pass exclusivity policy for the stated terms.

Fortnite Physical Gift Card
  • An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
  • If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
  • The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
  • Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.

Is Fortnite Crew another way to get shop collaborations?

Fortnite Crew is a separate subscription route, not a shop-return schedule. Epic’s Crew page lists premium rewards from specified passes while a subscription is active, 800 V-Bucks, and a Crew Pack. The subscription renews monthly until cancelled, and Epic says benefits are subject to change. These benefits do not predict when a particular collaboration cosmetic will appear in the Item Shop. Check the current Fortnite Crew terms before subscribing.
