Hostinger Mail is the more direct fit if you want tiered, standalone email and can accept its mailbox limits; Zoho Mail is the better fit if you need a free, region-eligible webmail option or want email bundled with collaboration apps. Neither is a universal winner. Compare storage, client access, message limits, mailbox count, regional availability, and the full cost at renewal before choosing.

Hostinger Mail vs Zoho Mail at a glance

What to compare Hostinger standalone Business Email Zoho Mail and Workplace
Storage 5 GB, 20 GB, or 50 GB per mailbox for Business Starter, Standard, and Premium, respectively, according to Hostinger’s current limits page. Free: 5 GB per user; Mail Lite: 5 GB or 10 GB; Mail Premium: 50 GB mail plus 50 GB archival storage. Workplace Standard and Professional list 30 GB and 100 GB mail storage per user, respectively. Zoho’s pricing page and subscription documentation describe the tiers.
Mailbox model Plan storage and US displayed prices are per mailbox. Free tier allows up to five users on one domain; paid storage figures are per user. Prices vary by region, edition, and billing term.
External email clients Check the chosen Hostinger plan’s current feature details for the specific client access you require. Free tier is web-only and excludes IMAP, POP, and ActiveSync. Zoho says paid Mail Lite supports IMAP and POP; check the selected paid edition for its precise protocol entitlements.
Sending limits Hostinger lists daily inbound/outbound limits of 1,000 messages for Starter and 3,000 for Standard and Premium. It also lists 100,000, 200,000, and 300,000 message units respectively, plus 100 recipients per message. These are plan limits, generally per mailbox. Not stated in the cited Zoho plan details; check the current limits for the exact edition and account.
Collaboration apps Compare as standalone email; check current Hostinger product details for any tools you plan to use. Relevant Workplace editions bundle apps such as Calendar, WorkDrive, ToDo, Writer, Sheet, Show, Cliq, Meeting, Vault, and Directory. Availability depends on edition.
Price context Hostinger’s US page displayed 48-month introductory monthly equivalents of $0.39, $0.99, and $1.99 for Starter, Standard, and Premium, with displayed renewal rates of $1.59, $2.79, and $3.99, respectively. The term is paid upfront. Exact paid prices depend on market, edition, and billing period; select the same region, user count, and term to make a fair comparison.

These are vendor-published plan specifications, not independent measurements of uptime or deliverability. Hostinger’s US price display is a time- and market-specific offer observed in 2026, not a universal rate.

How Hostinger’s email plans differ

Hostinger’s currently offered standalone Business Email tiers are Business Starter, Business Standard, and Business Premium. The plan limits page lists storage, message units, and daily message caps as follows:

Hostinger plan Storage per mailbox Message units Daily inbound/outbound limit Recipients per message
Business Starter 5 GB 100,000 1,000 100
Business Standard 20 GB 200,000 3,000 100
Business Premium 50 GB 300,000 3,000 100

Hostinger’s limits page identifies these as plan limits; it says limits are generally per mailbox. Do not treat the message-unit figures as the same thing as the daily inbound/outbound caps. If your organization sends high volumes, confirm how the current limits apply to your account and expected traffic before buying.

What Hostinger’s US price display means

On its US Mail product page, Hostinger displayed the following 48-month offer and renewal rates when accessed in 2026:

Plan Introductory monthly equivalent Displayed renewal monthly rate
Business Starter $0.39 $1.59
Business Standard $0.99 $2.79
Business Premium $1.99 $3.99

Those are per-mailbox monthly equivalents shown for the 48-month term, not monthly payments. Hostinger states on its US Mail product page: “All plans are paid upfront. The monthly rate reflects the total plan price divided by the number of months in your plan.” Calculate the upfront total for the exact mailbox count and term, then compare it with renewal cost; the displayed offer may change.

What Zoho Mail and Workplace include

Zoho separates email-only tiers from Workplace bundles. Its subscription documentation and pricing comparison describe these storage amounts:

Zoho tier Mail storage Other stated storage or access details
Free domain email 5 GB per user One domain, up to five users; web-only. Free access is limited to selected data centers.
Mail Lite 5 GB or 10 GB per user Zoho says paid Lite supports IMAP and POP.
Mail Premium 50 GB per user Also 50 GB archival storage per user; documentation describes eDiscovery and IMAP/POP.
Workplace Standard 30 GB per user 10 GB WorkDrive team storage.
Workplace Professional 100 GB per user 100 GB WorkDrive team storage.

Workplace is not a like-for-like email-only comparison: relevant editions also include collaboration and productivity apps such as Calendar, WorkDrive, ToDo, Writer, Sheet, Show, Cliq, Meeting, Vault, and Directory. Exact applications and entitlements depend on the edition, so check Zoho’s current matrix rather than assuming every app is included at every tier.

Zoho’s free tier has important conditions

The free domain-email tier can cover one domain and up to five users, with 5 GB per user, but it is offered only in selected data centers. It is web-only and does not include IMAP, POP, or ActiveSync. Check availability for your data-center region and make sure browser-only access fits your workflow before treating it as an option. Zoho’s pricing page also advertises a free tier for selected data centers; verify what is currently offered in your market.

Which service should you choose?

Choose Hostinger if you want standalone email with clearly tiered mailbox limits

  • Pick among 5 GB, 20 GB, and 50 GB mailbox tiers based on how much stored mail each user needs.
  • Use the published daily and per-message limits to assess whether your expected volume fits; they are plan caps, not performance claims.
  • For US pricing, compare the upfront cost of the 48-month term with displayed renewal rates, multiplied by the mailbox count. Recheck the live price before purchase.

Choose Zoho if you need a qualifying free tier or a broader work suite

  • The free plan may suit a small team that can use webmail, provided it is available in the relevant data center.
  • Paid Mail Lite, Mail Premium, and Workplace address different needs; choose based on protocol access, archive requirements, storage, and whether the bundled apps replace tools you would otherwise license.
  • Compare the specific edition’s features and regional price with Hostinger using the same user count and billing term.

Check these details before committing

  • Mailboxes: Count individual users and shared or role-based addresses separately, then confirm how the chosen plan prices each one.
  • Client access: List the exact protocols and apps your staff require. Do not assume that Zoho’s free plan supports desktop or mobile mail clients.
  • Storage: Estimate existing mailbox size and growth per user, and distinguish mail storage from archival or team-drive storage.
  • Volume: Compare expected sending with published limits and verify any applicable account restrictions directly with the provider.
  • Full cost: Compare matching regions, mailbox counts, billing terms, upfront charges, and renewal rates—not just a displayed monthly equivalent.
  • Extra features: Confirm the exact current matrix for aliases, forwarding, archiving, eDiscovery, and collaboration apps if any are required.

What the comparison does not establish

The published plan figures describe product entitlements and limits; they do not establish which provider has better deliverability, uptime, migration success, or ease of use. No independent comparative benchmark is established by the cited plan materials. Make those decisions using your own requirements and evidence relevant to your region and workload.
