In Hostinger AI Builder manual mode, select a text element, choose Edit text, then pick the heading style that matches its role. Hostinger says the Heading 1 style automatically produces an <h1> tag in the site code. Use Heading 1 for the page’s main title, Heading 2 for major sections, and Heading 3 for subsections.

Change a text element’s heading style

  1. In the manual-mode editor, select the text element you want to inspect or change.

  2. Choose Edit text. The current text style appears in the toolbar. Hostinger’s instructions for adding text also describe selecting a text element to open its editing controls: How to add text in manual mode.

  3. Choose the style that matches the text’s place in the page hierarchy: Heading 1 for the main page title, Heading 2 for a major section, or Heading 3 for a smaller subsection. Hostinger documents that Heading 1 maps to an <h1> tag in the site code; see its heading-tag instructions.

  4. Review the headings in the page preview. Check that they describe the content that follows and form a clear hierarchy.

Choose levels that reflect the page structure

Hostinger recommends placing the page’s H1 title before other headings and avoiding multiple H1 tags on one page. Use H2 headings for main content sections and H3 headings for subsections within those sections. These are Hostinger’s recommendations for structuring a page, not a guarantee of search-ranking results.

Write headings for readers first. Include relevant search terms naturally when they accurately describe a section; repeating keywords merely to place them in headings can make the page less clear.

Know whether a style change is local or global

Using Edit text lets you change the style of the selected text element. Hostinger also distinguishes these local adjustments from global text-style changes, which affect all elements using that style. If the aim is to fix one heading’s level, work on the selected element rather than changing a shared style. See Hostinger’s instructions for changing text style in manual mode.

Heading tags are only one part of SEO setup

Heading styles establish the content hierarchy, but they are separate from manual-mode page SEO settings. Hostinger’s SEO settings cover page titles, descriptions, URLs, keywords, and search visibility. Review those settings for the page as well; changing a heading alone does not establish that the rest of its search setup is complete. See Hostinger’s manual-mode SEO settings guide.
