To connect WhatsApp to a Hostinger AI Builder site in manual mode, choose the placement you want: a floating chat bubble, a WhatsApp link on a social icon, or a product-page chat button for a store. For the built-in bubble, enter your WhatsApp number with country code using digits only, add a default message, then save and publish the site.
Choose how WhatsApp should appear on your site

Hostinger documents all three built-in approaches in its manual-mode WhatsApp instructions. The floating bubble is the most direct setup for a general website.
Add a floating WhatsApp bubble
- Open your site in Hostinger AI Builder manual mode and go to the integrations settings.
- Find the WhatsApp field and enter the phone number associated with your WhatsApp account. Include the country code and use digits only—no plus sign, spaces, or other symbols. Hostinger’s example is
37061234567; use your own number and country code, not that example number. See Hostinger’s number-format guidance. - Enter the default message visitors should see when they start a chat.
- Save the setting, then update or publish the website so the change reaches the live site.
The built-in bubble uses its default icon; Hostinger says it cannot be replaced with a personalized image.
Add WhatsApp as a social icon link
- Create a WhatsApp link for the phone number connected to WhatsApp.
- Add a social icons element to the page or area where you want the link.
- Select Edit social icons, then choose Add new link.
- Insert the WhatsApp link and update or publish the site.
Hostinger’s manual-mode link instructions include WhatsApp as a link destination. This option gives you a manually placed link rather than the site-wide floating chat bubble.

Enable the WhatsApp button on store product pages
For an online store, configure the WhatsApp number in Store Manager → Integrations. Hostinger says this adds a Chat on WhatsApp button beside Add to Bag on product pages. The button opens WhatsApp with a prefilled message containing the product title, selected variant, and a link to the product page. Use custom code only if you need another widget
The built-in options do not require third-party widget code. If you need a different widget experience, Hostinger documents custom code in the site head and embed-code elements in the page body as integration methods. It names Tidio, tawk.to, GetButton, and Atlasmic as examples of services described as free or offering free trials. Their current pricing, trial terms, WhatsApp-specific features, and availability are not established here; check each service directly before choosing it. Publish the change and check the live site
Saving a setting in the editor is not the same as making it live. Hostinger says a manual-mode site remains a private draft until its first publication, and later edits must also be published to appear on the live website. Use the builder’s update or publish action after setup, then visit the published site and check that the chosen WhatsApp control appears. See Hostinger’s manual-mode publishing guide.
