To add a favicon in Hostinger AI Builder manual mode, open the site’s More (ellipsis) → General settings → Favicon, upload an image, save the change, and publish or update the website. Hostinger recommends a 32×32 px image in PNG, JPG, or JPEG format.
What you need before adding a favicon
A favicon is the small icon shown beside a page title in a browser tab. Hostinger AI Builder can use one in place of the default globe icon.
- Choose an image that represents your site, such as its logo or initials, and remains recognizable at a small size.
- Hostinger recommends 32×32 px and supports PNG, JPG, and JPEG for favicons. This is a recommendation, not a stated upload requirement.
- Hostinger advises that the file should not be too large but does not specify a maximum file size.
How to add or replace the favicon
- Open your website in Hostinger AI Builder manual mode.
- Click the More button (the ellipsis), then select General settings. Hostinger’s manual-mode General website settings guide also identifies this menu as the entry point for the settings.
- Expand the Favicon section.
- Choose Add image if no favicon is set, or Replace image to change the current one.
- Upload the image and save the change.
- Publish or update the website so the change is applied to the live site.
These steps follow Hostinger’s favicon instructions for manual mode.
If the old favicon still appears
Hostinger notes that a browser-tab favicon can take some time to update. First make sure you saved the change and published or updated the site. Avoid editing the site in the builder at the same time from multiple tabs or devices.

If the browser still shows the old icon, clear its cache and check the published site in a private or incognito window. You can also try another device or network. These checks can help distinguish a stale browser display from the site’s current favicon; Hostinger does not specify a fixed update time.
Will the favicon appear in Google search results?
Uploading a favicon does not guarantee that it will appear beside your site in Google results. Hostinger says that whether Google indexes the favicon for search results depends solely on Google.
