Short answer: Hetzner does not list an India cloud region in the reviewed material. Its Singapore cloud page presents Singapore as an option for customers in India. Published monthly caps are $17.99 for Singapore CPX12, $30.99 for CPX22 and $57.99 for CPX32; Germany/Finland rates include $6.49 for CX23 and $22.99 for CPX22. These prices exclude VAT and do not include any applicable add-ons or traffic overage. A nonstop stream can use several terabytes of outbound traffic each month, so the server price alone is not the likely all-in cost.
Hetzner cloud prices relevant to a creator in India
The published rates below are Hetzner cloud prices for new orders and resizes effective 15 June 2026, checked on 3 October 2026. Hetzner’s price table excludes VAT. “Price in India” does not mean the server is located in India or that Hetzner will invoice in rupees: the reviewed material lists Singapore, Germany and Finland, and Hetzner cloud billing uses EUR or USD according to the project/account currency selection. Your final INR cost depends on payment conversion and any applicable taxes or charges not specified in the cited pages. Hetzner’s cloud pricing and Singapore cloud page should be checked for the selected product before ordering.

Hetzner bills hourly up to a monthly cap. The server is billed while it exists, including when powered off; deleting it before month-end limits server billing to the time used. Primary IPs are billed separately, as can other selected resources. See Hetzner’s billing overview for billing details.
Estimate the bandwidth before choosing a plan
For a stream that runs continuously at a steady bitrate, a useful 30-day estimate is bitrate × 10,800 seconds per day × 30 days, then convert bits to decimal gigabytes. The figures below are calculated estimates, not measured usage; they exclude protocol overhead, restarts, other server traffic and additional streams.

YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends 10 Mbps for 1080p30 AV1/H.265 and 14 Mbps for 1080p30 H.264, and recommends constant bitrate and RTMPS. These are recommendations, not mandatory settings for every stream; estimate from the resolution, frame rate and codec you actually use. See YouTube’s live encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions.
Singapore: check the allowance for the exact SKU
Hetzner’s Singapore page states that included outbound traffic ranges from 0.5 TB to 5 TB across offerings, but the reviewed page text does not assign an exact allowance to each Singapore SKU. It lists additional traffic at $8.49 per TB. At 10 Mbps, a month-long stream’s estimated 3.24 TB may fit some offerings’ included traffic and exceed others; do not assume the CPX12 allowance is sufficient without checking the exact plan in Console. Overage can materially change the cost. Check the Singapore cloud plans before calculating an all-in monthly budget.

Germany and Finland: do not assume old traffic figures still apply
Hetzner’s older traffic documentation lists 20 TB for EU CX/CPX/CAX plans and 20–60 TB for EU CCX plans, depending on product. That page dates to 2024, so verify the current allowance and overage terms for the specific product rather than applying those figures automatically after the June 2026 price changes. Hetzner’s cloud FAQ is the relevant traffic documentation.
How to choose a region and server size
Singapore is a region Hetzner presents to customers in India. Europe can have substantially lower compute prices at small sizes, but the material reviewed does not establish that Singapore or Europe is universally faster or more reliable from every Indian city or ISP. Compare the actual plan’s compute price, included egress and overage, expected end-to-end stability from your network, separate IP/add-on charges and taxes.

The right VPS size also depends on what it does. Generating video, transcoding a source, relaying an already encoded feed and playing a lightweight static stream have different CPU and memory needs. Hetzner’s published pages do not establish a tested minimum size for a 24/7 YouTube stream, so neither CPX12 nor another plan should be treated as guaranteed to handle your workload without testing.
- Confirm the workload. Decide whether your server will encode, transcode or relay video, and document the actual resolution, frame rate, codec and bitrate.
- Check the current plan details. In Hetzner Console, confirm the selected region and SKU’s price, included outbound traffic, overage terms and separately billed IP or add-ons.
- Estimate monthly egress. Use the bitrate table above as a baseline, then allow for overhead, restarts, extra streams and other server transfers.
- Test before relying on it. Run a representative stream with similar audio and video movement, check upload bitrate and monitor YouTube stream health. YouTube recommends testing before going live and using RTMPS.
