Rockstar’s official pages confirm several GTA VI promotional videos, but the sources reviewed do not confirm a separate television commercial or an airing date. The game is currently listed for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Is there an official GTA 6 TV spot?
Rockstar’s official video and news pages identify trailers and an extended promotional look, but they do not identify a separate TV commercial or give it an air date. That leaves the TV-spot question unconfirmed by the official sources checked; it does not establish that no advertisement has aired anywhere.
Rockstar’s documented videos can be described as promotional videos, not as broadcast ads. Its official Trailer 1 page lists the dated videos, while its Extended Look announcement describes that video as captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5.
Which official GTA VI videos are confirmed?
| Video | Rockstar’s listed date | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| Trailer 1 | December 4, 2023 | Listed on Rockstar’s official video page. |
| Trailer 2 | May 6, 2025 | Listed on Rockstar’s official video page. |
| Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look | August 27, 2026 | Rockstar says it was captured entirely from in-game footage on PlayStation 5. |
These dates and descriptions come from Rockstar’s Trailer 1 page and the Newswire announcement. Neither source labels one of these videos a television spot.

Standard and Ultimate editions
Rockstar lists Standard and Ultimate editions. Standard owners can buy an Ultimate Edition Upgrade through the PlayStation or Microsoft storefront after redeeming the Standard code. Rockstar Support lists additional in-game content for Ultimate; consult its platforms, editions, and versions page for the details rather than assuming differences not specified there.
Does the physical edition include a disc?
No. Rockstar Support describes the physical version as a box containing a code for a digital download and states, “A disc will not be included in the box.” Code redemption is region-dependent: Rockstar recommends buying from a retailer in the country associated with the platform account to avoid activation problems. Check the support page for the applicable platform and purchase-region restrictions before buying.
