The GravaStar Mercury V60 Pro is a wired 60% Hall-effect gaming keyboard with adjustable actuation and Rapid Trigger, built in a distinctive aluminum chassis. Reviewers liked its solid feel and deep typing sound, but its compact layout brings real compromises: a very small right Shift key, no dedicated volume control, and no function row or numpad. Its high polling and latency figures are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified end-to-end test results.
What is the GravaStar Mercury V60 Pro?
It is a wired, USB-C 60% gaming keyboard using Hall-effect switches. A 60% layout keeps the board compact by leaving out keys and key groups found on larger keyboards, including a function row and numpad. PC Gamer also notes the absence of macro keys and dedicated media controls. That makes the V60 Pro a better fit for someone comfortable with compact-keyboard layers and shortcuts than for a buyer who wants every control readily accessible.
GravaStar lists adjustable actuation, Rapid Trigger, controller mapping, and key-priority functions. Tom’s Guide reports setting actuation and Rapid Trigger through GravaStar’s browser-based software. These features provide configuration options, but whether they help in a particular game depends on the game, the settings, and the player.
How does it feel and sound?
PC Gamer and Tom’s Guide reviewers describe a solid, premium-feeling board and favorable typing acoustics. Tom’s Guide characterizes the sound as a deep, muted “thock,” while also noting that the sound preference was not shared by everyone in the reviewer’s office. Those are subjective impressions, not controlled sound measurements.
#1 Best Overall
- ULTRA-PRECISION MAGNETIC SWITCHES: Experience the future of gaming with GravaStar UFO Magnetic Switches offering 0.005mm precision and adjustable actuation from 0.005mm to 3.5mm, eliminating input lag and providing a tactile edge that traditional mechanical keyboards can't match
- RAPID TRIGGER + SNAP TAP CONTROL: Rapid Trigger technology dynamically resets keys the moment you release them, enabling faster counter-strafing, smoother movement, and instant directional changes for competitive gaming advantage
- FUTURISTIC CRYSTAL RGB DESIGN: The full-transparent Onyx Crystal chassis combines immersive RGB lighting with a sci-fi aesthetic that transforms any gaming setup into a next-generation battle station
- HOT-SWAPPABLE & PREMIUM ACOUSTICS: Featuring hot-swappable Hall Effect switches and a multi-layer acoustic foam structure for smoother keystrokes, reduced vibration, and satisfying thock sound straight out of the box
- HALL EFFECT MAGNETIC SWITCHES: Equipped with GravaStar UFO magnetic switches featuring adjustable actuation from 0.005mm to 3.5mm for ultra-sensitive movement, faster strafing, and customizable keystrokes tailored to your playstyle
The board’s aluminum construction contributes to its weighty feel. PC Gamer lists dimensions of 325 × 125.8 × 41 mm and a weight of 0.86 kg in its 2026 review specifications. Tom’s Guide found the RGB lighting less bright than expected; treat that as one reviewer’s observation rather than a brightness measurement.
What are the layout trade-offs?
- Small right Shift: Both reviews call out the unusually small right Shift key. If you use that key frequently, check the layout carefully before buying.
- No dedicated volume control: Tom’s Guide missed having a volume rocker or knob.
- No function row or numpad: The 60% layout saves desk space, but makes function-row and number-pad workflows less direct.
- Fewer dedicated controls: PC Gamer also notes there are no macro keys or dedicated media controls. Buyers who rely on familiar key placement may need to adapt or prefer a larger board.
These are not defects hidden behind the compact size; they are the practical cost of choosing this layout. Consider the keys you reach for every day, not just the board’s footprint.

What do the polling and latency claims mean?
GravaStar advertises an 8,000 Hz USB polling rate and 512 kHz key-position scanning, and presents 0.125 ms as the associated latency figure. These are manufacturer specifications and claims. The available reviews do not report controlled, independent end-to-end input-latency measurements, so the 0.125 ms figure should not be read as a measured result or a guarantee of a particular competitive advantage.
Can you replace the Hall-effect switches?
Do not assume magnetic switches are interchangeable across every Mercury V60 Pro edition. GravaStar’s UK product listing describes south-pole-down switches and compatibility with select TTC and Gateron switches, while its US Special Edition page describes a different pole configuration and says south-pole-down switches are unsupported. The official regional descriptions conflict.

It is worth considering if you specifically want a compact wired Hall-effect keyboard with adjustable actuation and Rapid Trigger, and you value its aluminum build and the sound reviewers describe. It is a weaker fit if you need a standard-size layout, a full function row, dedicated media or volume controls, or a larger right Shift key.

Price is also part of the decision. PC Gamer listed $220 / £200 at review time in 2026; those are publication-time figures, not current quotes. GravaStar’s regional listings may show different pricing or offers, so compare the current price for your region and exact edition. The manufacturer listing states a 12-month limited hardware warranty; check the terms for your purchase region and model.
