The company describes the work as involving ultrapure water, wastewater treatment and zero-liquid-discharge (ZLD) systems. It did not identify the customers or disclose contract values.
What the five new contracts cover
In its 7 October 2026 announcement, Gradiant said the five awards span three manufacturing sectors:
- Semiconductors: The announcement includes a repeat award from a global chipmaker that is expanding its fab.
- Printed circuit boards: Gradiant identified PCB manufacturing as part of the new-contract portfolio.
- Solar: Solar manufacturing is the third named sector.
Gradiant says the contracts involve design-build work related to ultrapure-water production, wastewater treatment and ZLD. It did not publish customer-by-customer scopes, delivery schedules or contract values, so the announcement does not establish which systems are included in each project or how the five awards compare in size.
How the new awards differ from Gradiant’s Gujarat fab project
The five contracts are new awards announced in October. They should not be conflated with Gradiant’s separately described semiconductor-fab water project in Gujarat, which the company says was online in March 2026.

In its Gujarat project case study, Gradiant describes an integrated design-build-operate package combining ultrapure-water production, wastewater recycling and ZLD. The company lists a system capacity of 4,000 m³/day and 96% system recovery. Those are Gradiant-reported figures for the Gujarat project, not specifications for the five newly announced contracts, and the case study is not an independent performance audit.
India leadership and planned hiring
Gradiant appointed Hari Prasad as Managing Director, India, to lead growth across semiconductors, data centers and energy. The company describes him as having nearly 30 years of water-technology leadership experience. Most recently, he was General Manager, Industrial Water at Pentair, after senior roles across India, the Middle East and Africa.

Gradiant also said it plans to grow its India team by more than 40% during 2026. The planned additions span engineering, project execution, operations and digital roles, including positions at its Gradiant Engineering Center in Coimbatore. This is a hiring plan, not a report that the expansion has already been completed.
What Gradiant says about its India outlook
Prasad said in the 7 October announcement: “Our orders in India are on track to more than double this year, with revenue set to more than triple.” This is his projection, not a confirmed year-end result.

CEO Prakash Govindan characterized the broader opportunity this way: “India is fast becoming one of the most important places to build the AI supply chain, from chips to circuit boards to solar cells.” That is the company’s view of the market rationale behind its activity; the announcement does not provide independent market data to quantify the outlook.

- The value of each contract or the combined portfolio.
- Individual project scopes and delivery schedules.
The contract and outlook claims come from Gradiant’s announcement, while the Gujarat system figures come from the company’s case study. Neither source provides independent customer validation of the new awards or independent verification of the reported Gujarat performance metrics.
