What Samsung’s older launch figures do—and don’t—tell you
Samsung Electronics’ July 18, 2025 US launch announcement gave starting prices of $299.99 for the Galaxy A26 5G, $399.99 for the A36 5G, and $499.99 for the A56 5G. Those are historical US launch prices, not current prices or quotes for other countries. A36 and A56 are not among the four models named in Samsung’s 2026 guide.

Samsung’s 2025 materials also specified 5,000mAh batteries across the A56, A36, and A26, and 45W charging for the A56 and A36. Samsung’s UK availability announcement described 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED displays for the A56 and A36, with up to 1,200 nits in High Brightness Mode; it says the 6.7-inch figure is measured on the full rectangle and 6.5 inches accounting for rounded corners. Samsung’s US launch table listed 120Hz refresh rates for the A56, A36, and A26. These details describe those 2025 models and announcements, not every Galaxy A phone or current local pricing.
In its March 28, 2025 UK announcement, Samsung said that the announced A-series models would receive up to six generations of Android OS/One UI upgrades and six years of security updates. Treat that as a model- and announcement-specific commitment; verify the support policy for the exact phone under consideration rather than assuming it applies unchanged to later models.
