What phones does Fitbit Air support?
Google says Fitbit Air works with most phones running Android 11 or later, or Apple iOS 16.4 or later. Setup requires a Google Account and the Google Health app. Compatibility and feature availability may vary, so check the current requirements for your phone and region before buying.
How long does the battery last?
Google advertises up to one week of battery life and says five minutes of fast charging provides a full day of power. The week-long figure is a company estimate based on 2025 testing with pre-production hardware and software, default settings, and a median user profile—not an independent measurement of retail units. Google says actual battery life varies with features, usage, environment, and other factors. See the India launch announcement for its qualification.

What to know about health claims
Google says the tracking features are not intended for medical purposes. It cautions that heart-rate accuracy can be affected by physiology, device position, movement, and activity; sleep tracking is not intended to diagnose or treat a condition and should not be relied on for medical purposes. Afib alerts are not intended for people under 22 with known Afib or other known arrhythmias, and Google says they are not available in all countries.
Fitbit Air should not be treated as a diagnostic device or a substitute for clinical advice. For symptoms or health concerns, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
What the launch announcement does—and does not—establish
Google’s launch materials describe the features and battery estimates, but they do not provide independent sensor validation, hands-on testing, or measured battery results from retail units. Buyers can use the stated specifications to understand what Google intends the band to do, but they do not establish how accurately it performs in everyday use.
