The Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY 16G is a factory-overclocked, unusually large RTX 5080 with promising 4K results in published testing—but its price, 330 mm length, 16-pin power connection and build-specific noise and temperature results matter as much as its headline frame rates. The available reviews do not provide a matched comparison against other RTX 5080 cards, so they can inform whether this model suits your PC, but not establish that it is the fastest or best-value version.

What is the AORUS RTX 5080 INFINITY 16G?

This is Gigabyte’s specific board-partner version of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5080, model GV-N5080AORUS IF-16GD. Gigabyte lists a 2805 MHz core clock, compared with a 2617 MHz reference clock, 10,752 CUDA cores, 16 GB of GDDR7 memory on a 256-bit bus, and a PCIe 5.0 interface. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance results. Gigabyte’s specifications page has the full published feature list.

How does it perform in 4K games?

Technopat’s September 16, 2026 review reports 4K results for this card. Its Cyberpunk 2077 figures show why it is important to distinguish rendered frames from generated frames: the average changes substantially when frame generation is enabled, and the two figures describe different configurations.

Cyberpunk 2077 at 3840 × 2160

Configuration reported by Technopat Average frame rate
Ultra ray tracing, DLSS Auto, frame generation off 87 FPS
Ultra ray tracing, DLSS Auto, frame generation on 239 FPS

The 239 FPS result includes generated frames; it is not directly equivalent to the 87 FPS result with frame generation off. The review excerpt does not establish enough platform and procedure detail to turn these figures into a comparison with another card. See Technopat’s review for its broader game testing.

#1 Best Overall
GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 Master 16G Graphics Card, WINDFORCE Cooling System, 16GB 256-bit GDDR7, GV-N5080AORUS M-16GD Video Card
  • Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
  • Powered by GeForce RTX 5080
  • Integrated with 16GB GDDR7 256bit memory interface
  • WINDFORCE cooling system with Hawk Fan
  • PCIe 5.0

These results support the narrower conclusion that the card can deliver high 4K frame rates in at least this tested configuration. They do not show how much faster it is than a different RTX 5080, or how it compares across all games and settings.

What do the published tests say about temperatures, power and noise?

The two available reviews report different figures from different test conditions. Treat them as separate snapshots, not as one combined lab result or a guarantee of what the card will do in your case.

Techolay, noise readings 47 dB close to an open case; 37 dB at normal user distance Measurements at the positions described by Techolay; not directly comparable with another publication’s readings.

The available excerpts do not supply a common test setup that would make the temperatures, power readings or acoustic measurements directly comparable across publications. Fan speed, case airflow, ambient conditions, workload and measurement position can affect the experience. The figures are useful as reported test results, not as a prediction for every PC. Read Techolay’s review for its testing context.

Will it fit your case, and what power supply does it need?

Check the exact dimensions and cable space against your own build before ordering. Gigabyte lists the card at 330 × 145 × 65 mm and recommends an 850 W power supply. It specifies one 16-pin power connector. The card’s length is only part of the clearance check: confirm room for its thickness and for the power cable’s routing in the case.

  • Powered by GeForce RTX 5080
  • Integrated with 16GB GDDR7 256bit memory interface
  • PCIe 5.0
  • WINDFORCE cooling system
  • Card dimensions: 330 × 145 × 65 mm, according to Gigabyte.
  • Power supply: Gigabyte’s recommendation is 850 W. The actual system’s power needs depend on its other components and configuration.
  • Power connection: one 16-pin connector. Gigabyte lists a 12V-2×6-to-three-PCIe-8-pin adapter in the accessories.
  • Support: a VGA holder kit is also listed in the accessories.

Use the adapter and cable-routing guidance applicable to your power supply and card, and avoid forcing a tight bend where the connector exits. A case that nominally accepts a 330 mm card may still leave too little space for the power lead; verify clearance in the actual layout.

What are the cooler and design features?

Gigabyte calls the cooling system WINDFORCE HYPERBURST and describes patented Hawk fans, an Overdrive Fan design, composite metal GPU grease, a reinforced metal backplate, RGB Halo lighting and a concealed power connector. The company says the connector design tucks cables behind the chassis for a cleaner build. Those are manufacturer design descriptions; the independent temperature, power and noise results above are the available measured evidence.

Gigabyte’s product page states “4 years warranty (Online registration required).” The AORUS Official Store listing instead reports a three-year warranty period. Because the listings differ, check the written warranty terms for the region and seller you plan to buy from rather than assuming either term applies universally. Gigabyte product page.

Is the price justified?

The AORUS Official Store showed €1,564.32 including VAT when accessed in 2026. That is a single regional storefront snapshot, not a launch price or a market-wide average; it may change and may not be the price available where you live. Check the current store listing, then compare local prices for this exact model and competing graphics cards.

No matched cross-model benchmark set or multi-retailer price survey is available here, so a value ranking would not be supported. At the price you can actually buy it for, weigh the 4K results against your case clearance, power supply and tolerance for the noise levels reported in Techolay’s test positions.

Who should consider this card?

  • It may suit you if you want this specific RTX 5080 design, have room for a 330 × 145 × 65 mm card and a 16-pin cable, and can meet Gigabyte’s 850 W PSU recommendation.
  • Check carefully before buying if your case is compact, cable space is tight, or low noise is a priority; the reported acoustic readings depend on Techolay’s stated measurement positions.
  • Compare local offers first if your decision is mainly about value. The available evidence does not establish a best-buy price or a performance lead over other RTX 5080 models.
