Garza Global Graviton (GGG) Sovereign Edge Daemon is presented by its author as a local background service that exposes an OpenAI-compatible endpoint on your own machine. Its creator describes it as “zero telemetry,” but that is a project claim, not an independently verified guarantee that no data can leave a device. Whether an AI workflow stays offline also depends on the model backend and its network behavior.

What GGG is and how its proxy endpoint works

In a DEV Community project post, JOxKxER describes GGG as a self-contained daemon that runs locally and provides an OpenAI-compatible loopback endpoint at http://127.0.0.1:11834. The post’s Python example uses the corresponding API base URL, http://127.0.0.1:11834/v1. A client configured for that address sends its requests to a service on the same machine rather than directly to a hosted API endpoint. This is the project author’s description, not an independently verified test. Read JOxKxER’s project post.

The author names VS Code with Continue, Open WebUI, LM Studio, and Jan as examples of tools that can connect. Treat these as compatibility examples supplied by the project, rather than independently confirmed integrations. The project post provides the examples.

Does a local proxy mean the whole AI workflow is offline?

No. A loopback address identifies where the client connects to the proxy; it does not, by itself, establish where the proxy obtains model responses or what other software on the machine may contact over the network. The backend matters. The repository documents a local Ollama setup: connect to an Ollama instance through localhost or loopback, pull a model, and use GGG’s local bridge. Its README says remote endpoints are rejected. Those details describe the documented Ollama path; they do not establish the network behavior of every tool a user might connect. See the project repository and setup instructions.

  • EIGHT CHANNEL LPDDR5X - LPDDR5X is a new ground breaking memory small form factor installed on-board. With blazing speeds up to to 8000MT/s, it runs 1.5x faster than the DDR5 SODIMMs; 90% better performance over DDR5 SODIMMs in video conferencing and photo editing; 30% better performance in productivity apps; 12% better performance in digital content workloads.
  • QUAD SCREEN 8K DISPLAY SUPPORT - EVO-X2 AI Mini PC support 4-screen 4K/8K output via HDMI 2.1 (8K@60Hz), DisplayPort 1.4 (4K@60Hz), and dual USB 4 40Gbps Transfer speed (supporting PD3.0/DP1.4/DATA). Ideal for gaming, video editing, and multitasking, it provides expansive and crisp multi-display support.

For a local workflow, check the destination configured in the client, the proxy, and the model backend. A local client-to-proxy connection is not enough if a separate component forwards requests to a remote service. The project documentation’s stated rejection of remote endpoints is relevant to its described setup, but should not be generalized beyond that documentation.

How strong is the “zero telemetry” and sovereignty claim?

JOxKxER says prompts, history, and context vaults stay on the user’s hardware and characterizes GGG as “zero telemetry.” These are claims made by the project author and repository, not findings from an independent audit. The repository itself draws a boundary around the strongest interpretation: “Honesty note: no software system can produce an unconditional mathematical proof of ‘zero network leakage’ from a black box.” The repository’s attestation discussion therefore supports treating the claim as a design aim and evidence-based assertion, not an absolute technical guarantee.

To assess the claim for a particular release, a reader would need to examine the current source and dependencies, check how the release was produced, and observe network behavior under documented conditions. The project’s own caveat makes clear why a slogan alone cannot establish that no data ever leaves a device.

Installing and checking the Windows release

The repository describes a packaged Windows release and warns that its self-signed executable may trigger Microsoft SmartScreen. It also points users to a SHA-256 release manifest for checking an artifact’s hash. A matching hash indicates that the file matches the manifest entry; it does not, on its own, prove that the software is secure or validate the zero-telemetry claim. Check the repository’s current release guidance before downloading, because the README’s version references are snapshot-specific.

The reviewed README describes a mobile-responsive web hub for v1.4.0 and refers to a v1.4.5 Windows bundle in its verification guidance. Those references do not establish which release is currently latest. Confirm the available artifact and matching manifest on the project’s release page before using version-specific instructions.

What is not established by the project materials

  • Minimum hardware: The reviewed documentation does not state minimum system requirements, so it does not establish that a particular computer, mini PC, or GPU is necessary.
  • Independent performance results: The reviewed sources do not provide an independently sourced benchmark.
  • Universal offline behavior: The documented local Ollama route and endpoint restrictions do not prove that every possible client, backend, or configuration stays offline.
  • Independent verification of zero leakage: The sources describe project claims and an attestation approach, not an independent audit demonstrating that no network leakage occurs.

Who should consider GGG

GGG may be worth examining if you want an OpenAI-compatible local proxy and are prepared to configure and assess the model backend as part of your privacy setup. Its documented local Ollama path is more specific than a general promise of privacy: it identifies a local service route and says remote endpoints are rejected. Users who require assurance beyond project claims should review the current implementation and release provenance and test network activity in their own documented environment.
