If you want the part of Deadlock that blends third-person shooting with MOBA strategy, start with SMITE 2. For team-based hero-shooter matches, try Overwatch; for third-person superhero combat, try Marvel Rivals. Each shares a different part of Deadlock rather than reproducing the whole package.
That distinction matters because Valve describes Deadlock as an early-development multiplayer game, with access currently limited to friend invites through playtesters. Its Steam listing tags it as both a MOBA and a third-person shooter, warns that the build includes temporary art and experimental gameplay, and gives its release date as “To be announced.” See Deadlock on Steam.
What should I play if I like Deadlock?
Choose based on the element you want to keep: MOBA structure and a third-person view, team-focused hero combat, or a superhero setting. The three games below cover those preferences in different ways.
| Game | Best fit | How it differs from Deadlock | Availability stated by the cited page |
|---|---|---|---|
| SMITE 2 | Third-person action-MOBA combat | The clearest genre bridge in this shortlist: it combines third-person action with MOBA structure. | Its Steam listing describes it as free-to-play and marks it Early Access. Official Steam listing. |
| Overwatch | Team-based hero-shooter matches | Emphasizes team shooter combat rather than the MOBA framing and third-person-shooter tags on Deadlock’s Steam listing. | Blizzard describes it as free-to-play, team-based, and supporting cross-platform play. Official Overwatch page. |
| Marvel Rivals | Third-person superhero team PvP | Offers hero abilities and a comic-book setting; the cited page does not establish a detailed MOBA comparison. | The official page describes it as a free-to-play superhero team-based PvP shooter. Official Marvel Rivals page. |
Games like Deadlock for MOBA fans
SMITE 2
SMITE 2 is the most direct choice if Deadlock’s combination of action combat and MOBA strategy is the draw. Its official Steam listing calls it a free-to-play third-person action MOBA and marks it Early Access. That makes it a closer structural comparison than a shooter focused primarily on team fights.

What if I mostly like the hero-shooter side?
Overwatch
Overwatch is the straightforward pick if you want team-based hero combat and 5v5 matches more than MOBA progression or a third-person perspective. Blizzard describes the game as free-to-play and team-based, and states that it supports cross-platform play. Its shooter-first emphasis is the key difference from Deadlock’s MOBA and third-person-shooter framing.
