Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold: the direct alternative
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is the strongest direct alternative to compare if you want a book-style foldable from another manufacturer. Its 8-inch inner display is larger by diagonal measurement than the Fold8’s 7.6-inch main display, while its 6.4-inch outer display is also larger than the Fold8’s 5.5-inch cover screen. It matches the Fold8 Ultra’s listed inner-screen diagonal, though the available specifications do not establish that the displays have the same shape or usable area.

Google lists a Tensor G5 processor. That specification identifies the chip, but by itself does not establish which phone is faster, lasts longer, takes better photos or handles multitasking better. Those judgments require comparable testing or a clear priority from the buyer.
What to check before choosing it
- Outer-screen comfort: A larger diagonal does not tell you the screen’s width, aspect ratio or how comfortable it is for your typing and one-handed tasks. Try the phone in person if cover-screen use matters.
- Software and multitasking: Compare the features and workflows you actually use, including split-screen apps and moving between the outer and inner displays. The cited specifications do not establish a feature-by-feature software comparison.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: a bigger in-family option
If you are open to staying with Samsung, the Fold8 Ultra offers an 8-inch main display and a 6.5-inch cover display according to Samsung’s US product page. Samsung announced both the Fold8 and Fold8 Ultra in its 2026 foldable lineup. The Ultra is therefore relevant when the goal is a larger screen, but it is not an independent-brand alternative to the Fold8.

The listed diagonals make the Ultra’s inner screen the same size as the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s by measurement, and its cover display larger by diagonal. They do not establish equal screen proportions, typing comfort or overall usability. Consider it alongside the Pixel if choosing between screen size and ecosystem fit, then verify local price, availability and support.
How to choose beyond screen size
Diagonal measurements are a useful starting point, not a verdict. Before buying, assess the factors that official size listings alone cannot settle:
