Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minutePC Slower Than It Used to Be?

It can put hotkeys and information widgets on one surface, while the Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 uses separate LCD keys. That makes the devices different in layout and emphasis—not proof that WigiDash is better. The available product descriptions establish what G.SKILL says WigiDash can do, but do not provide comparative testing.
What is the G.SKILL WigiDash?
WigiDash is an auxiliary touch display designed to sit beside a PC’s main monitor and combine controls with glanceable information. G.SKILL describes it as a 7-inch IPS panel with 1024×600 resolution and a 5×4 grid that can show up to 20 buttons or widgets. Those are manufacturer-stated specifications.
G.SKILL positions the panel for launching actions and viewing information without putting everything on the main display. Its stated examples include customized hotkeys, media controls, system monitoring, a clock, timer or stopwatch, weather, and an audio visualizer.
What can WigiDash control or display?
Hotkeys and actions
According to G.SKILL, hotkeys can open programs, files, and links, trigger Windows actions, and be configured to change according to the foreground application. That could let a user arrange different shortcuts for different tasks, though the announcement does not establish how well those triggers work in practice.

These are described capabilities, not independent confirmation of compatibility or performance across particular PC setups.
Profiles and layout
WigiDash Manager is the software used to arrange items in the grid, create multiple pages, customize icons, colors, and fonts, configure actions and triggers, and import or export profiles. G.SKILL also says multiple WigiDash devices can be used on one PC.

What should you check before relying on a widget?
WigiDash Manager is required. G.SKILL’s tutorial guide, version 2024.04.02i, cautions that some widgets depend on third-party software or online services and may require an internet connection, account setup, a subscription, or extra permissions. Check the requirements for each widget you plan to use; the panel itself does not guarantee that every integration is ready to use out of the box.
How is WigiDash different from Stream Deck MK.2?
| Device | Control surface | Emphasis established by the cited descriptions |
|---|---|---|
| G.SKILL WigiDash | One touch display with a 5×4 grid of up to 20 on-screen buttons or widgets. | Combines controls with monitoring and other information widgets, according to G.SKILL. |
| Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 | Separate LCD buttons, as described in the December 21, 2023 HotHardware comparison. | Individual display keys; the cited comparison does not establish a performance advantage over WigiDash. |
The practical distinction is how the controls are presented: WigiDash makes a single touchscreen do double duty as a widget display, whereas the cited MK.2 description emphasizes individual LCD keys. Which layout suits you depends on whether you prefer a shared touch surface with information widgets or separate keys. The sources do not establish that one device is better for streaming, gaming, or any other workload.

There is no hands-on comparative test here to show whether WigiDash is faster, easier to configure, better for streaming, or a better buy. Evaluate the layout you prefer, the software and widget dependencies you need, and current local pricing.
