The Fujifilm X-S10 is a 26.1-megapixel APS-C mirrorless camera with in-body image stabilization (IBIS) and access to Fujifilm’s X-mount lens system. Its core specifications make it a capable all-rounder on paper, but whether it is worth buying now depends on the price, condition and availability of the body where you live, plus the cost of the lens you need. Fujifilm’s Singapore product page labels it discontinued; that regional listing does not establish that it is unavailable everywhere.
What the Fujifilm X-S10 offers
The X-S10 uses an APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor measuring 23.5 × 15.6 mm, with approximately 26.1 million effective pixels, and accepts Fujifilm X-mount lenses. Those figures establish the camera’s format and resolution, not how it will compare with a particular newer camera or lens in real-world use. Fujifilm’s X-S10 specifications are the reference for its official hardware details.
Fujifilm lists body dimensions of 126.0 × 85.1 × 65.4 mm and a weight of approximately 415 g without battery and card, or approximately 465 g with them. These are manufacturer figures rather than an assessment of how the camera feels in hand.
Does the X-S10 have IBIS?
Yes. The X-S10 has five-axis sensor-shift image stabilization, often called IBIS. Fujifilm rates its maximum compensation effect at six stops under stated CIPA conditions. That is a manufacturer-rated maximum, not a guarantee: results depend on the lens, shooting conditions and exposure, and stabilization does not freeze a moving subject.

Which lenses work with the X-S10?
The camera uses Fujifilm X mount, and Fujifilm says X-mount lenses can be used with it. The lens system is part of the real purchase cost: compare the price and features of a suitable lens as well as the camera body. Do not assume every lens has optical stabilization or that every lens-and-body combination behaves identically. Check the specifications of the particular lens you plan to buy. Fujifilm’s X-S10 lens guidance explains the supported lens system.
Battery life and memory cards
Battery
The X-S10 uses the NP-W126S battery. In its manual, Fujifilm estimates approximately 325 still photographs using the rear LCD in Normal mode and approximately 300 using the EVF in Normal mode. The same test information gives about 260 shots for LCD Boost and 235 for EVF Boost. These are estimates under Fujifilm’s stated test conditions, not guaranteed real-world counts; actual endurance varies with charge, use and conditions, and decreases at low temperatures. Fujifilm’s compatibility chart lists the BC-W126S charger as compatible. Check the specific seller’s package contents before buying a separate charger or extra battery. The compatibility chart also lists compatible accessories such as the RR-100 remote release, MIC-ST1 stereo microphone and TG-BT1 tripod grip.
Memory card
The camera has one UHS-I-compliant SD card slot. Fujifilm lists SD, SDHC and SDXC cards as compatible and recommends a UHS Speed Class 3 card for 4K movie recording. It is a single-slot design, so it does not provide a second card slot for in-camera duplicate recording. Check the compatibility chart for card guidance before recording video.

Is the X-S10 good for beginners?
It can suit a beginner who wants an interchangeable-lens camera and is prepared to learn how lenses, exposure and camera settings affect results. Its IBIS may help reduce blur from camera movement in still photographs, but it does not remove the need to learn technique or choose an appropriate lens. A beginner should budget for the lens as well as the body and consider whether buying a discontinued or used model is acceptable.
A July 2026 guide from Digital Camera World describes the X-S10 and X-S20 as having a more mainstream control layout and notes their in-body stabilization. That is editorial context, not a controlled comparison or proof that the X-S10 is the best camera for a particular genre.

Should you buy the Fujifilm X-S10 now?
Fujifilm’s Singapore product page labels the X-S10 discontinued. This is a signal about that regional listing, not evidence that the camera is unavailable in every market. The available material does not establish current stock or used prices in other regions, so check local retailers and listings rather than assuming a particular availability or price. Fujifilm Singapore’s product page shows the regional status.
For a remaining-stock or used body, weigh the complete purchase rather than the body price alone. Before committing, check:
