Zoho Mail documents a free custom-domain email plan; Chosenly.com does not document a comparable public email-hosting plan in its official terms. Zoho’s published terms describe hosting one domain for up to five users, with 5 GB per user, but availability is limited to select data centers. You also need a domain you control and access to its DNS settings. Chosenly’s support address shows that the company uses its own domain for email—not that it offers mailboxes to the public.
Chosenly.com vs. Zoho Mail: what the evidence establishes
| Question | Zoho Mail | Chosenly.com |
|---|---|---|
| Is a public custom-domain email plan documented? | Yes. Zoho publishes a free custom-domain email plan. | Not in the official Terms of Service reviewed. The terms establish Chosenly’s use of its domain, not a public hosting offer. |
| Free-plan limits | Up to five users, 5 GB per user, and one domain, according to Zoho’s product page accessed October 5, 2026. | Not stated; no public email-hosting plan is documented in the cited terms. |
| Availability | Only in select data centers, according to Zoho. Check eligibility during signup. | No public plan availability is documented. |
| Domain and DNS setup | Requires control of domain DNS, ownership verification, and MX-record configuration when using an existing domain. | Not stated. |
The comparison is therefore asymmetric: Zoho is the documented email-hosting option, while Chosenly is a company using its own domain. Chosenly’s Terms of Service, effective April 3, 2023, identify Chosenly LLC as the operator of chosenly.com, describe its service as a B2B SaaS platform, and list support@chosenly.com. Those details do not establish that users can register Chosenly.com mailboxes or that Chosenly offers any email plan. Chosenly’s Terms of Service
What Zoho’s free custom-domain plan includes
Zoho’s product page, accessed October 5, 2026, describes a free plan for small teams of five users or fewer. It lists 5 GB of storage per user and hosting for one domain, and says the plan is available only in select data centers. Treat these as Zoho’s published plan terms, not independent measurements; confirm the current offer and regional eligibility during signup. Zoho Mail’s free custom-domain plan

If you already own a domain, Zoho says you can use one purchased from any registrar. If you need to buy one, that is a separate domain-registration decision with its own availability and cost. Zoho documents an in-console domain-buying option only for users in its US and IN data centers; that page does not say domain registration is free. Zoho’s domain-purchase instructions

What you need before setting up Zoho Mail
- A domain name you own or control.
- Access to the domain’s DNS manager, usually through your registrar or DNS provider.
- The ability to add a CNAME or TXT record so Zoho can verify domain ownership.
- The ability to set the domain’s MX records to Zoho so incoming mail is delivered there.
Zoho’s admin guide covers verification and mail-delivery configuration. Without DNS control, you cannot complete the required verification and MX setup. Zoho’s custom-domain email setup guide
How to decide
- Choose Zoho as the option to investigate if you need hosted email for a domain you control and its free plan is available in your data center. Check the plan limits and signup eligibility before relying on them.
- Do not choose Chosenly as an email provider based on its support address. The cited official terms do not document public mailbox hosting or a free email plan.
- Sort out domain ownership and DNS access first. A free hosting plan cannot replace a domain or the DNS changes needed to route its mail.
What this comparison cannot establish
The available official information does not support a feature-by-feature comparison of mailbox protocols, mobile-client support, message limits, forwarding, deliverability, or support service levels. It also does not establish whether Chosenly offers an email product elsewhere; the cited terms alone simply do not document one.
