In a statement posted October 6, 2026, the studio said it was reviewing possible changes to in-game content and how it communicates. It did not announce a specific change or timetable.
What Playground Games said
Playground Games said it was reading player comments and recognized that it “haven’t been talking with you as much as we could be.” The studio added: “While we continue to deliver regular content and fixes into the game, we want you to know we hear your feedback about our post-launch updates and we’re looking into future changes to both in-game content and the ways we communicate with you.” It ended with “Stay tuned!”
The statement acknowledges the communication criticism and says changes are under consideration. It does not say what might change, when a decision will be made, or whether the studio will adopt a new communication schedule. The statement was attributed to Playground Games, not to a named individual.
What players have criticized
Coverage by Dot Esports describes complaints about limited communication, monthly Festival Playlist updates some players consider repetitive, and late-game content that some players describe as repetitive. These are reported criticisms, not evidence that all or most players share the same view. The reviewed coverage provides no representative measure of player dissatisfaction.

Traxion places the communication criticism against the previous game’s monthly “Let’s ¡GO!” livestreams and video explainers, compared with website posts for Forza Horizon 6. That is the outlet’s account of the format shift; Playground has not given a specific explanation for it in the statement.
What happened just before the response
On October 5, one day before its statement, Playground published release notes for the Horizon Meets update. The official notes list 7-Eleven content, Horizon Play levels, a Treasure Car, new Festival Playlist rewards, and fixes described as based on feedback and reports submitted through the Forza Feedback Portal. They direct players with unresolved issues to that portal. The timing provides context, but does not establish that Horizon Meets was intended as a response to the criticism or that it fulfills the changes mentioned the next day. How this compares with the studio’s stated update cadence
In a May 22, 2026 community post, Playground said Forza Horizon 6 was available worldwide on Xbox Series X|S and PC and that future series updates would arrive monthly. That records the cadence the studio stated at the time; it is not proof that every update arrived on schedule. The post also points players toward the feedback process. The studio’s statement leaves the practical questions open: whether it will adjust the content or structure of future updates, whether it will return to more direct formats such as livestreams, and when players can expect an answer. For now, Playground has acknowledged the feedback and said it is looking into options; it has not confirmed a remedy.
