Fortnite is already available on the U.S. App Store, so a general iPhone launch is not imminent—it has happened. Availability and installation options vary by country, however, and the official sources do not confirm the status or timing of any separate newly submitted build.
Is Fortnite coming back to iPhone?
In the United States, Fortnite is already listed on the App Store. Apple’s U.S. listing names Epic Games Inc. as the developer, labels the game free with in-app purchases, and includes a version-history entry dated October 2026: Fortnite on the U.S. App Store.
That does not mean the game is available through the same route in every country. Epic says App Store availability for iPhone and iPad excludes Australia. Other regions may have an alternative store or cloud-streaming option instead.
How can you play Fortnite on iPhone or iPad?
Epic lists several ways to access Fortnite on iOS. Which one works depends on your region and device:

Check Epic’s Fortnite mobile availability and installation guidance for the options and steps that apply to your location. Do not assume that an option available in one country, or on iPad, is available in another country or on iPhone.
Does the App Store listing confirm that a new Fortnite build was submitted?
No. A storefront listing shows that an app is available there; it does not reveal the review status of a separate submission. Apple distinguishes App Review states such as Waiting for Review, In Review, and Rejected from an app’s availability in individual countries or regions. Submission status is visible to the developer in App Store Connect, not established by the public listing.

The official sources cited here do not confirm the date or current review status of a specific new Fortnite submission. Accordingly, “submitted” should not be read as “approved,” and there is no verified release date for a distinct upcoming build.

For practical availability, use Epic’s regional installation guidance and the App Store listing for your country. For a specific submission’s review progress, Apple says the developer can check App Store Connect; Apple also allows developers to request expedited review in certain time-sensitive event circumstances. Epic’s public service-status page reports whether Fortnite services are operational, which is separate from App Review or a launch announcement.
