Fluxguard is the better-documented fit when you need to distinguish text, visual, rendered-page, or network changes and tune what triggers an alert. Wachete is a strong candidate when you want selected-area or whole-page monitoring alongside broad alert channels, document-file checks, history, and integrations. Neither is a universal winner: choose based on the pages you need to watch, the noise you can tolerate, and how you want alerts delivered.

This is a comparison of capabilities and plan information published by the vendors, not a same-page accuracy test. Product features and prices can change; confirm the live plan details before subscribing.

How Fluxguard and Wachete differ

Both services monitor web pages for changes, including pages with dynamic content or access restrictions. Their documented strengths differ: Fluxguard describes several explicit analysis modes and controls, while Wachete documents a broad monitoring and notification workflow that also covers files and numeric values.

Decision point Fluxguard Wachete
Change detection Text, visual or pixel, rendered DOM/HTML, and network activity, according to its tutorials and FAQ. Whole-page or selected-area monitoring; its FAQ describes visual-difference previews for HTML monitoring. See features and FAQ.
Dynamic, protected, and interactive pages Documents JavaScript-rendered pages, authenticated pages, form submissions, and click interactions. Documents dynamic and password-protected pages.
Reducing irrelevant alerts Documents CSS and DOM filters, keyword lists, and network blocks. Lets users select a portion of a page and exclude frequently changing areas; alert conditions can also be configured.
Alerts and integrations Instant or daily alerts vary by plan; APIs and webhooks are documented. Lists email, phone notifications, Slack, Teams, Discord, Telegram, daily or weekly email summaries, RSS, Zapier, REST API, webhooks, apps, and browser extensions.
History Version retention depends on plan; the FAQ lists 3 versions on Free, 25 on Periscope, and 100 on Telescope. Lists up to 12 months of history and charts for numeric values covering up to five years.
Published plan information Lists visible USD prices and estimated monthly site counts, with usage based on credits. Lists static-page limits, but the reviewed official page did not expose paid prices or check intervals reliably.

These are vendor-described capabilities, not independently verified comparative results. There is no basis here to call one service more accurate than the other.

Choose based on the page and change you need to detect

Choose Fluxguard when the change type matters

Fluxguard documents text, visual/pixel, rendered DOM/HTML, and network-activity monitoring. That range may help if a change can occur without a simple text difference—for example, a visual change, a DOM update after JavaScript runs, or a change in network requests. Its FAQ notes that visual and DOM checks are ordinarily secondary analyses after a primary strategy records a new version, though users can change the primary strategy. Check the setup documentation at Fluxguard’s FAQ to confirm how a chosen strategy is configured.

Its tutorials also describe keyword-based monitoring, page discovery, configurable frequency, filters and network blocks, authenticated pages, form submissions, click interactions, APIs, and webhooks. Consider it when your monitored workflow depends on a form or a user action before the relevant content appears.

Choose Wachete when alert routes, files, or values are central

Wachete documents full-page and selected-area monitoring, whole-site monitoring through linked pages, dynamic and password-protected pages, and checks from several locations. Its feature list also includes PDF, Word, and Excel text or file monitoring; HTTPS certificate, response-time, and header checks; exclusion of frequently changing areas; and combining values from multiple pages. Alert conditions can include thresholds, text appearing or disappearing, formulas, and availability failures. Details are on Wachete’s features page.

Check noise control before relying on alerts

Page monitors can report changes that are technically real but irrelevant to you: rotating promotions, timestamps, navigation, ad content, or third-party scripts. Fluxguard documents CSS filters, DOM ignores, keyword lists, and network blocks. Wachete documents selecting monitored portions and excluding frequently changing areas. Which approach works better for a specific page is not established by the vendors’ feature descriptions alone.

For either service, try representative pages before relying on alerts for a consequential workflow. Check whether the expected content is captured after scripts or login, whether exclusions suppress the noisy elements without hiding relevant changes, and whether notifications arrive through the channel and cadence you need.

Compare history as versions versus time coverage

Fluxguard describes retained versions by plan: its FAQ lists three for Free, 25 for Periscope, and 100 for Telescope. Wachete describes up to 12 months of history, with numeric-value charts covering up to five years. These are different measures—version counts and time spans—and do not establish which service will retain more useful history for your monitoring frequency.

Understand the published plan figures

Fluxguard prices and estimated scale

The official Fluxguard pricing page lists the following self-service plans in USD. Its site counts are estimates, not guaranteed caps: the pricing estimate assumes approximately 10 pages per site crawled once daily, and actual credit use may vary.

Plan Published price Estimated sites per month
Free (Gyroscope) $0 3
Standard (Periscope) $110/month 25
Plus (Telescope) $220/month 50
Premium (Horoscope) $550/month 100

The pricing page says paid plans begin with a seven-day trial. It lists Chrome crawling, visual/HTML/text detection, instant or daily alerts, English translation, three versions per page, and one user on Free. Paid features are tiered and include options such as custom filters, network blocks, form tracking, additional retained versions, custom AI prompts, summaries, proxy network, five-minute crawling, and webhooks. Verify current inclusions, price, and credit assumptions on the live pricing page before purchasing.

Wachete’s visible page limits

Wachete’s official homepage says its free tier monitors five static pages and zero dynamic pages. Paid tiers are shown with limits of 50, 100, 500, and 3,000 static pages. Paid prices and check frequencies were not reliably visible in the reviewed official material, so they should not be inferred from these page counts; check the homepage directly for current details. The homepage says the free tier requires no credit card and paid subscriptions include a seven-day trial.

A practical selection checklist

  • Identify the target: Is it static, JavaScript-rendered, behind a login, or dependent on clicking or submitting a form?
  • Name the change: Do you care about text, visual appearance, DOM structure, network activity, a document file, a numeric value, or availability?
  • Set the monitored region: Decide whether whole-page monitoring is useful or if ads, timestamps, and navigation should be excluded.
  • Choose the notification workflow: Check that the service supports the destination, integration, and alert cadence your team needs.
  • Estimate usage and history: Match page count and check frequency to the vendor’s plan assumptions, then confirm retention in the terms and live plan details.
  • Validate with real pages: During a trial or free plan, verify capture, noise filtering, and alert delivery on representative pages before depending on the monitor.

If you need a clean screenshot of a page rather than ongoing change alerts, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server for developers. A single GET request can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF; its consent and widget cleanup options are designed to remove cookie banners, popups, and chat widgets before capture. It is not a replacement for a page-change monitor.

Example request (replace the URL as needed; see the ScreenshotNeo API documentation):

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

ScreenshotNeo says bot checks, blank pages, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and responses identify page verdict and billing status in headers. It also offers an MCP server with screenshot, page-info, and PDF-capture tools for AI agents. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month without a card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000.
