When the Teams calendar is missing or not loading, first identify whether the Calendar app is hidden, meetings are missing, or the problem affects only the desktop app. If Calendar works in Teams on the web, troubleshoot the desktop client; if Outlook on the web cannot open the same work or school calendar, check the mailbox first.
Teams work or school calendars rely on the user’s Exchange mailbox. Teams Free and personal accounts have a different meeting experience. Use the troubleshooting steps below for the symptom you see.
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| Calendar is missing from the app bar | Hidden apps, app setup policy, or app permissions |
| Calendar opens with an error | Exchange mailbox, EWS, licensing, or service health |
| Calendar opens but meetings are missing | Account, date or filter settings, or Exchange synchronization |
| Web works but desktop does not | Teams desktop client or local cache |
| Only Teams Free or a personal account is affected | Personal-account meeting and calendar behavior |
Important: Classic Teams reached end of availability on July 1, 2025, so it is not a current workaround. Use the current Teams desktop client or Teams on the web.
1. Check whether Calendar is hidden
Calendar may be installed but not pinned to the Teams app bar.

- Select View more apps on the left side of Teams.
- Find Calendar.
- Right-click Calendar or select its menu.
- Select Pin.
If Calendar is not listed, an administrator may have hidden or blocked it.
What an administrator should check
In the Teams admin center, go to Users > Manage users, select the affected user, choose View policies, and inspect the assigned App setup policy. Confirm Calendar is in the pinned apps list.
To add Calendar to a policy, go to Teams apps > Setup policies, open the applicable policy, select Add apps under Pinned apps, search for Calendar, add it, and save. Microsoft identifies the built-in Calendar app with this ID:
Calendar app ID: ef56c0de-36fc-4ef8-b417-3d82ba9d073c

Policy changes can take up to 24 hours to take effect.
App setup policies control pinning; they do not necessarily allow the app. Depending on the tenant’s management model, check Teams admin center > Teams apps > Manage apps > Calendar, Teams apps > Permission policies, and Microsoft 365 admin center > Integrated apps. With app-centric management, the app must be allowed for the organization and the affected user.
2. Confirm the account and organization
Select your profile picture and confirm that Teams is using the work or school account that owns the mailbox and received the meeting invitation. Teams can contain more than one signed-in account.
Personal Microsoft, Teams Free, and Microsoft 365 work or school accounts are separate identities. Their calendars and mailboxes do not automatically merge, so signing in to the wrong account can make a meeting appear to be missing.

3. Check the calendar view and filters
If Calendar is visible but some meetings are missing, the event may be outside the current view or excluded by a filter. The work or school calendar normally displays the work week by default.

- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.
- Dual C-Clamp Hold - Worried your dual monitors might wobble or slip? Our upgraded base uses a larger platform plus a dual C-clamp structure to lock the dual monitor arm firmly to your desk. Each arm safely keeps your screens steady while you type, click and game—no shaking, no sliding, just a clean and secure setup you can trust every day. It also provides Grommet Mounting installation choice, both options ensure stable and secure fixation for your 0.59" - 3.54" desk.
- Full-Motion Adjustment For Comfortable View - Pull the screen closer when you’re deep in a spreadsheet, push it back to watch videos, or rotate to portrait for coding — moving everything smoothly with just one hand. The monitor stand offers +85°/-50° tilt, ±90° swivel and 360° rotation. Raise your monitor up to 15.75″ to support a healthy sitting posture. Whether you’re working from home, gaming through the night, or switching between video calls and documents, getting the screens to your natural line of sight helps relieve neck, shoulder and back strain so you can stay focused longer with less fatigue.
- Keep Your Desk Organized: By lifting both screens off the desktop, this dual monitor stand opens up valuable space for your keyboard, notebook, docking station or a simple, clutter-free work area. Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
- Open Calendar.
- Select the current view at the top and try Day, Work week, Week, or Month.
- Select Today to return to the current date.
- Open Filter and make sure the relevant event types are selected.
- Check Outlook on the web using the same account to confirm the event exists in the correct calendar.
4. Test Teams on the web
Open Teams in a supported browser and sign in with the same account. Then open Calendar.
- Calendar works on the web: the issue is probably local to the desktop client. Continue to the reset and cache steps below.
- Calendar also fails on the web: investigate the account, Exchange mailbox, policies, or Microsoft 365 service health.
Do not use Classic Teams as a comparison client; it reached end of availability in 2025.
5. Verify Outlook on the web can open the mailbox calendar
For a work or school account, Teams Calendar depends on access to the user’s Exchange mailbox through Exchange Web Services (EWS). Open Outlook on the web with the same credentials and try to open the calendar.
If Outlook reports that the user has no mailbox, fix mailbox provisioning before troubleshooting Teams. In the Microsoft 365 admin center:
- Go to Users > Active users.
- Select the affected user.
- Open Licenses and apps.
- Confirm that an Exchange Online service is included and enabled.
An Exchange Online license alone does not guarantee successful provisioning. Provisioning or synchronization normally takes less than 30 minutes, but some changes can take up to 24 hours. Administrators should check for provisioning validation errors.
6. Check Microsoft 365 service health
A Teams or Exchange Online incident can prevent calendars from loading or stop new events from appearing. An administrator can open the Microsoft 365 admin center, select Health > Service health, and review incidents for both Microsoft Teams and Exchange Online.
7. Troubleshoot Exchange hybrid or on-premises mailboxes
For an on-premises or hybrid Exchange mailbox, Microsoft requires Autodiscover V2 to locate the mailbox, an externally reachable EWS endpoint, and working OAuth authentication between Exchange Online and the on-premises organization. Full Teams Calendar app support requires Exchange Server 2016 Cumulative Update 3 or later.
Test Autodiscover and EWS routing
Run this command in PowerShell:
Invoke-RestMethod -Uri “https://outlook.office365.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.json?Email=<Email address of the affected mailbox>&Protocol=EWS” -UserAgent Teams
For an on-premises mailbox, the returned EWS URL should point to an externally reachable endpoint, for example:

A failed command or incorrect URL may indicate an Autodiscover, firewall, reverse-proxy, OAuth, or hybrid configuration problem.
Check organization-wide EWS restrictions
From Exchange Online PowerShell, run:
Get-OrganizationConfig | Select-Object Ews*
If EwsApplicationAccessPolicy is EnforceAllowList, an empty allow list blocks clients. Microsoft identifies *SchedulingService* as required for the scheduling service. Add it with:
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Set-OrganizationConfig -EwsApplicationAccessPolicy EnforceAllowList -EwsAllowList @{Add=”*SchedulingService*”}
If EwsEnabled is False, set it to True or $null, subject to your organization’s security requirements.
Check restrictions on one mailbox
Run:
Get-CASMailbox <UserPrincipalName> | Select-Object Ews*
If the mailbox uses an EWS allow list, Microsoft says these entries must be allowed:
MicrosoftNinja/*, *Teams/*, SkypeSpaces/*
Add them with:
Set-CASMailbox <UserPrincipalName> -EwsApplicationAccessPolicy EnforceAllowList -EwsAllowList @{Add=”MicrosoftNinja/*”,”*Teams/*”,”SkypeSpaces/*”}
Also confirm that EwsEnabled is not False. Do not change Exchange settings just because the desktop app shows stale data; first establish that the issue affects the web client or mailbox.
8. Run Microsoft’s Teams Calendar connectivity test
Open the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer and run the Teams Calendar App or Teams Calendar Tab test for the affected user. It checks whether the Teams backend can connect to the Exchange mailbox. Microsoft says the test is available to administrators and non-administrators, but not in GCC or GCC High environments.
9. Reset the current Teams desktop client
Windows: reset Teams
If Calendar works on the web but not in the Windows app, reset Teams:

10. Check Teams Free and personal accounts separately
Teams Free does not use the same work or school Calendar app backed by an organization’s Exchange Online mailbox. On desktop, the Meet tab is used to create, schedule, share, and join meetings; on mobile, Calendar is available as a tab.
For a personal Teams Free meeting that is missing, check the device’s preferred calendar application and the email junk folder. Do not troubleshoot EWS, Exchange hybrid, or Teams admin-center policies unless the user is signed in to a work or school organization.

A shared mailbox is not a normal signed-in user mailbox. Users should not sign in to Teams with shared-mailbox credentials; they should access the mailbox through their own accounts.

To create a Teams meeting in a shared mailbox calendar, either the shared mailbox or the scheduling user needs a valid Teams license. Scheduling from an Outlook shared mailbox calendar is not supported when the mailbox is available only through automapping. Use a supported licensed scheduling account or review the shared-mailbox configuration.
Recommended troubleshooting order
- Confirm the active Teams account and organization.
- Look under View more apps and pin Calendar if available.
- Test Calendar on the web.
- Confirm Outlook on the web opens the same user’s calendar.
- Check Microsoft 365 service health.
- Review the user’s app setup and app permission settings.
- Verify Exchange licensing and mailbox provisioning.
- For hybrid deployments, test Autodiscover, EWS, OAuth, and allow lists.
- Run the Remote Connectivity Analyzer Calendar test.
- Reset or clear the current Teams client cache if the web client works.
If the issue remains, collect the user principal name, reproduction time in UTC, affected client and browser, service-health information, and connectivity-test results before contacting Microsoft Support.
FAQ
Why is the Calendar icon missing from Teams?
Open View more apps, find Calendar, and select Pin. If it is not listed, an administrator should check the user’s app setup policy, app permissions, app-centric management settings, and Microsoft 365 integrated-app controls.
Why does Teams Calendar work in the browser but not the desktop app?
That pattern usually points to a local Teams client or cache problem. Reset Teams from Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Microsoft Teams > Advanced options > Reset, or clear the current Teams cache and restart the app.
Does a Teams license guarantee that Calendar will work?
No. A work or school Teams Calendar also requires a usable Exchange mailbox and working Teams-to-Exchange connectivity. Missing mailbox provisioning, blocked EWS, failed Autodiscover or OAuth, and service incidents can prevent Calendar from loading.
Why are Outlook meetings missing from Teams Calendar?
Confirm that Teams is signed in to the same work or school account that owns the Outlook calendar. Check the Calendar view, date, and filters. If Outlook on the web also lacks the event, investigate the mailbox or synchronization rather than the desktop app.
Can I switch back to Classic Teams to fix Calendar?
No. Classic Teams reached end of availability on July 1, 2025. Use the current Teams desktop client or Teams on the web.
Does Teams Free have the same Calendar as work or school Teams?
No. Teams Free has a separate personal-account experience. On desktop, meeting scheduling is handled through the Meet tab; on mobile, Calendar is available as a tab. Personal meetings may be associated with an Outlook.com calendar or the device’s preferred calendar app.
The Bottom Line
If Calendar works on the web but fails on desktop, reset the current Teams client or clear its cache. If it fails on the web too, check the account, Exchange mailbox, app policies, and Microsoft 365 service health. For hybrid Exchange environments, verify Autodiscover, external EWS, OAuth, and EWS allow lists. Classic Teams and its old cache path are not current fixes.
