Neither chip is a universal winner. In NanoReview’s cited Geekbench 6 comparison, the A15 Bionic leads in single-core performance, while the Exynos 2400 leads in multi-core performance. NanoReview also lists a higher Exynos 2400 AnTuTu 11 total, but warns that Android and iOS results are not directly comparable. Treat these as workload- and device-dependent indicators, not a definitive ranking of the chips or the phones that use them.

Exynos 2400 vs A15 Bionic at a glance

Comparison Exynos 2400 Apple A15 Bionic
CPU description 10-core CPU in a tri-cluster design, according to Samsung Six-core SoC, as characterized by NanoReview; Apple’s primary specification page was not available in the sources reviewed
GPU description Xclipse 940, based on AMD RDNA 3; Samsung specifies hardware-accelerated ray tracing Apple A15 GPU, as identified by NanoReview; the source does not establish the GPU configuration for every A15 device
Geekbench 6 single-core 2,115 2,315
Geekbench 6 multi-core 6,826 5,753
AnTuTu 11 total 2,046,435 1,413,275

The benchmark figures are NanoReview comparison-page values, not results from a controlled test of matched retail phones. The page does not give a stable publication year for the current comparison figures, and benchmark listings can change. [NanoReview comparison]

Which chip is faster in Geekbench 6?

Single-core: A15 Bionic leads in the cited comparison

NanoReview lists 2,315 for A15 Bionic and 2,115 for Exynos 2400 in Geekbench 6 single-core. That result favors A15 Bionic for short tasks that rely heavily on one CPU core. It is a comparison-page figure, not a same-handset, controlled measurement of the two chips.

Multi-core: Exynos 2400 leads in the cited comparison

In Geekbench 6 multi-core, NanoReview lists 6,826 for Exynos 2400 and 5,753 for A15 Bionic. This favors Exynos 2400 in that multi-core result, but does not establish that every Exynos phone will outperform every A15 phone in sustained work. Phone cooling, software, and test conditions can affect real-device results.

How should you interpret the AnTuTu 11 scores?

NanoReview lists AnTuTu 11 totals of 2,046,435 for Exynos 2400 and 1,413,275 for A15 Bionic, alongside CPU, GPU, memory, and UX categories. The same page explicitly cautions: “AnTuTu results from iOS and Android are not directly comparable!” The totals therefore should not be treated as decisive evidence that one chip is faster overall across platforms.

What do the specifications say about graphics and AI?

Exynos 2400 graphics

Samsung describes Exynos 2400 as using an Xclipse 940 GPU based on AMD RDNA 3, with hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Samsung also identifies a third-generation 4nm process and Fan-out Wafer Level Packaging (FOWLP). These are manufacturer-published specifications and claims, not independent proof of gaming performance. Samsung’s product page says the GPU is “built on AMD RDNA™ 3 architecture to make gaming more immersive at every turn.” [Samsung Semiconductor: Exynos 2400]

A15 Bionic graphics

NanoReview identifies the A15’s graphics processor as Apple A15 GPU, but its comparison does not fully establish how GPU configurations vary among devices carrying A15 Bionic. Do not assume every A15 phone has identical graphics hardware based on that label alone.

AI results depend on the software stack

Geekbench’s AI listings show results by device, framework, and accelerator backend. For example, the listings include an Exynos 2400 Galaxy S24+ running TensorFlow Lite and A15 devices using Core ML. Because those examples use different software stacks, their raw scores are not a clean chip-versus-chip ranking. [Geekbench AI results]

Samsung’s product page makes a 14.7-fold AI performance claim for Exynos 2400. That is Samsung’s own claim; it is not a direct comparison against A15 Bionic. [Samsung Semiconductor: Exynos 2400]

Why phone and test context matters

Geekbench’s mobile listings identify Exynos 2400 results in Galaxy S24 and S24+ devices, and A15 Bionic results in iPhone models. These are device-specific entries, not measurements of silicon in isolation or a matched test of equivalent phones. [Geekbench mobile benchmarks]

The available figures do not establish a controlled Exynos 2400 versus A15 Bionic comparison for sustained performance, power efficiency, or thermals. For a dependable phone-to-phone decision, look for tests that report the exact handset and regional variant, software version, benchmark version, workload duration, and power draw. A chip score alone also cannot determine which phone is the better purchase: platform preference, device implementation, software support, price, and availability matter.

Which one should you choose?

  • For short, lightly threaded CPU work: the cited Geekbench 6 single-core result favors A15 Bionic.
  • For multi-core CPU throughput: the cited Geekbench 6 multi-core result favors Exynos 2400.
  • For gaming: Exynos 2400 has a specified RDNA 3-based GPU and hardware ray tracing, but these features alone do not establish that it will run every game faster.
  • For cross-platform overall scores: do not use the cited AnTuTu 11 totals as a definitive ranking; NanoReview warns against direct comparison between iOS and Android results.
  • For a phone purchase: compare the particular models and regional variants you can buy, rather than choosing on chipset name alone.
