A community guide lists Armor, Infinite Ammo, Infinite Health Boosters and Big Knife locations, and warns that activating a code disables trophies on that save. An official Epic Games Store achievement confirms that a Scanner upgrade exists, but available sources do not establish where to get it or what it costs.
How the in-game codes work
The codes are markings found in the game with the Scanner. The October 5, 2026 community guide says scanned codes are recorded in the Logbook’s Codes tab. Scanning and activating are separate actions: according to that guide, scanning alone does not disable trophies, while activating a code does so on that save.
The guide says activation becomes available after you acquire the Cryptograph key item in the Lower Levels. If you want to preserve trophies on a save, leave codes inactive there; this warning comes from the guide and has not been independently verified.
Documented cheat code locations
The same guide documents four locations. It also lists CO-005 as undocumented, so these are the known locations in that guide—not a confirmed complete count.

How to activate a code without confusing it with scanning
- Find a code marking and scan it. The guide says this records it in the Logbook’s Codes tab without disabling trophies.
- Acquire the Cryptograph in the Lower Levels. The guide identifies it as the item needed before code activation becomes available.
- Open the Logbook’s Codes tab and choose whether to activate a recorded code. The guide warns that activation disables trophies on that save; leave it inactive if trophies matter on that file.
What is known about upgrading the Scanner
The Epic Games Store achievement list includes “Upgrade the Scanner,” confirming that a Scanner upgrade is part of the achievement set. It does not provide an upgrade route or requirements.
The official game overview describes using the Scanner and tools to uncover hidden routes and areas, but it does not explain the upgrade procedure. A separate Scanner guide, updated October 6, 2026, says it is based on pre-release demos and developer interviews and that final-game upgrade functions would be added later. Its preview-era descriptions—such as scanning walls, doors and enemies—should not be treated as confirmed instructions for the released game.

As of the available published information, the upgrade’s location, cost, stages and exact effect in the released game are not established. There is not enough evidence to give a reliable workbench, vendor, menu path or materials list.

The official End of Abyss overview describes Cel exploring a derelict underground facility, fighting hostile creatures, upgrading gear and using the Scanner and tools to find hidden routes. It lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S and the Epic Games Store, and gives an October 1, 2026 release date.

The code routes and trophy warning above come from an October 5, 2026 community guide, while the upgrade’s existence is supported by the Epic Games Store achievement listing. The available Scanner walkthrough explicitly relies on pre-release material, so it does not fill in the released game’s upgrade steps.
