Dynata says it uses telephone calls, including landlines and mobile phones, to reach people for survey research. A call may invite you to participate in a study, but a caller-ID label alone does not prove the call is genuine or explain why you were contacted. If you want to ask about a call or stop future Dynata survey calls, use the contact details on Dynata’s official “Called By Dynata?” page.
Why do I get Dynata calls?
Dynata describes itself as a provider of survey research sampling and technology. Its privacy policy says it connects clients with consumer and business respondents through internet, telephone—including landline and wireless/mobile—postal, and mixed methods. Its clients can include for-profit and nonprofit businesses, universities, and government organizations. Dynata’s Data & Surveys page also lists phone and SMS outreach among its methods, alongside public-opinion polling, brand tracking, creative testing, and other research approaches.
That makes a survey invitation or a study’s data-collection effort a plausible reason for a call. The company’s general descriptions do not identify the client, study, or reason behind any particular call, however. They also do not establish that every call displaying “Dynata” is actually from Dynata.
What the general privacy policy does—and does not—cover
Dynata notes that its general privacy policy does not apply to information collected through survey panels or communities operated by or on its behalf. A panel or survey may therefore have separate privacy information; the general policy should not be treated as a complete account of every survey-specific practice.

How to ask about a call or stop future calls
Dynata publishes separate phone numbers for call questions and no-contact requests on its official “Called By Dynata?” page. The numbers below are those listed there; check the page for current details before calling.
| What you need | Within North America | Outside North America |
|---|---|---|
| Request no further Dynata survey phone calls | 1-833-757-1746 | 1-801-341-0764 |
| Ask questions about a call | 1-866-360-9678 | 1-801-379-4094 |
Dynata says callers can use the first pair of numbers to request placement on its no-contact list. The second pair is for questions about a call. These are Dynata contact routes; the available information does not establish that opting out through another organization will stop calls from Dynata.
If you are unsure whether a call is genuine
The cited Dynata page provides contact routes but does not explain how caller ID is authenticated or give a way to validate an individual call. Do not treat the displayed name or number as proof. As a precaution, end an unexpected call and contact Dynata using the number on its official page rather than relying on information supplied during the call. This is a cautious way to ask about it, not a company-published caller-verification procedure.

Rank #3
| Comparison point | Dynata | Kantar |
|---|---|---|
| Contact methods established by the cited pages | Telephone, including landline and wireless/mobile, as well as internet, postal, and mixed methods; its methodology page also lists phone and SMS outreach. | The cited US survey notice discusses telephone or in-person interviewers. It does not establish a complete list of methods for all Kantar work. |
| Purpose or explanation of contact | Company pages describe survey research and related methodologies, but do not identify the purpose of a specific call. | The UK/US consulting survey notice lists purposes such as understanding views or behavior, validating earlier survey answers, administering participation, and follow-up research. The US survey notice says interviewers identify themselves and state the purpose of contact. |
| Participant choices and contact details | The “Called By Dynata?” page gives separate numbers for call questions and no-contact requests. | The US survey notice says participants may decline questions or leave a study. The consulting notice describes possible contact-detail sources including a client, sample provider, public sources, an earlier recruiter, or prior agreement to be recontacted. |
| Independent comparison of performance | Not stated in the cited company pages; no comparable independent figures are established for call frequency, response rates, cost, or research quality. | Not stated in the cited notices; they do not provide comparable independent figures for call frequency, response rates, cost, or research quality. |
Kantar’s cited pages are its US survey research privacy notice and UK/US consulting survey privacy notice. Their statements apply to the notices’ stated scope, not necessarily every Kantar division or survey call. Dynata’s descriptions likewise explain services and contact routes, not the identity or purpose of an individual call.

How to compare providers usefully
- Check which contact methods the provider says it uses and whether telephone outreach is included.
- Look for an explanation of why respondents may be contacted and how interviewers identify themselves.
- Find the provider’s own route for privacy questions or opting out, and check which surveys or services it covers.
- Separate company statements from independent evidence. The cited pages do not provide a common benchmark for price, call frequency, response rates, or research quality.
