Download NVIDIA App for Windows from NVIDIA’s official NVIDIA App page and select Download Now. The app is free to download and brings together NVIDIA driver updates, supported game and GPU settings, gameplay capture, performance monitoring, and other NVIDIA software.
Where to download NVIDIA App
Use NVIDIA’s official NVIDIA App download page, rather than a third-party download mirror. Select Download Now on that page to get the Windows app. The page also links to NVIDIA’s live system requirements and supported-function information.
NVIDIA’s current product page is the best place to confirm compatibility before installing. The exact minimum requirements for the consumer Windows app are not established here, so do not rely on requirements for a different NVIDIA product or for an optional feature.
What NVIDIA App does
NVIDIA positions the app for PC gamers and creators with NVIDIA graphics hardware. Its features include driver updates, settings for supported games and GPUs, GPU tuning, the NVIDIA Overlay, ShadowPlay capture, performance statistics, visual filters, and discovery of other NVIDIA software. Feature availability depends on the hardware, game or application, display, and current app and driver support.
#1 Best Overall
- AI Performance: 767 AI TOPS
- OC mode: 2632 MHz (OC mode)/ 2602 MHz (Default mode)
- Powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4
- Axial-tech fan design features a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- A 2.5-slot design maximizes compatibility and cooling efficiency for superior performance in small chassis
Choose a driver path
NVIDIA offers Game Ready drivers for gaming and Studio drivers for creative applications. Choose according to your primary workload and any driver guidance from the games or creative applications you use; neither option is universally best.
Record and monitor gameplay
ShadowPlay and the overlay provide Instant Replay, manual recording, FPS display, and system statistics. NVIDIA advertises capture modes up to 8K HDR at 30 fps or 4K HDR at 120 fps, and says GeForce RTX 40-series GPU owners can record using AV1. These are NVIDIA’s stated capabilities, not a guarantee that every system, game, or recording setup supports each mode. Check the app’s current supported functions for the configuration you plan to use.

Use supported visual features
NVIDIA says Freestyle supports more than 1,200 games. The app also offers features such as DLSS overrides for supported games and RTX HDR; NVIDIA specifies an HDR-compatible monitor for RTX HDR. Check current game and feature support before relying on a filter or override.
How to install and update drivers
- Open NVIDIA’s official NVIDIA App page and select Download Now.
- Install the downloaded app for Windows, then open it.
- In NVIDIA App, open the Drivers area to see available drivers and select the Game Ready or Studio path that fits your workload.
- Follow the app’s prompts to install an available driver. For current version details and changes, consult NVIDIA’s Updates and Release Highlights.
NVIDIA App or GeForce Experience?
NVIDIA announced NVIDIA App on November 12, 2024, describing it as incorporating many popular features from GeForce Experience and RTX Experience. NVIDIA said login is optional for using the app, while bundle and reward redemption may require it. NVIDIA’s migration page advises remaining GeForce Experience users to upgrade and identifies ShadowPlay, Optimal Playable Settings, and the NVIDIA Overlay among features involved in the transition. Migration notices and service timing can change, so check NVIDIA’s current upgrade information rather than assuming a shutdown date.

- Military-grade components deliver rock-solid power and longer lifespan for ultimate durability. Compatibility: 348mm (13.7") length, 3.6 slots, 4.3 lbs. Confirm case clearance and slot spacing. GPU bracket included.
- Protective PCB coating helps protect against short circuits caused by moisture, dust, or debris
- 3.6-slot design with massive fin array optimized for airflow from three Axial-tech fans
- Phase-change GPU thermal pad helps ensure optimal thermal performance and longevity, outlasting traditional thermal paste for graphics cards under heavy loads
Check feature requirements separately
Base app compatibility and optional-feature compatibility are different questions. NVIDIA’s G-Assist requirements, for example, apply to that optional feature, not to downloading or installing NVIDIA App generally. For any feature, verify the supported GPU generation, game or application, display capability, and app or driver version on NVIDIA’s current pages.
