PetNow was reported in 2019 as a connected camera that rides on a dog’s harness and pairs with a phone app. Owners could use it to view the dog’s surroundings remotely, speak through two-way audio, and capture video or still photos. The report also described night vision and a removable camera that could be placed on a base for stationary monitoring. Those are capabilities reported at the time, not independently tested results.
How PetNow was meant to work
New Atlas described PetNow as a Wi-Fi camera quick-mounted to a soft, lightweight, breathable dog harness and controlled through an iOS or Android app. Worn by the dog, the camera could show owners a view from the animal’s position rather than from a fixed room camera.
The report specified live 1080p video at 30 frames per second when an internet connection was available. It also listed two-way audio, night vision, video recording, and still-photo capture. These are the article’s stated specifications and features; it did not report independent performance testing.
Wearable viewing or stationary monitoring
PetNow’s camera could be removed from the harness and placed in an included base. That gave owners two different setups:

How it differed from dog action-camera mounts
New Atlas also mentioned GoPro and Sony dog harness mounts. Those accessories were described as ways to capture action-camera footage from a dog’s perspective; the report did not present them as substitutes for PetNow’s connected monitoring features, such as remote live viewing and two-way audio. It did not establish current stock, specific Sony models, or present-day compatibility for either brand.
