The A15 variants covered by Samsung’s Philippines specifications use a physical nano-SIM; the 5G model has a hybrid slot for a second SIM or a microSD card. If you have an A15 4G, confirm its exact model code and regional support page: the cited specification establishes its physical-SIM setup but does not give the same explicit eSIM verdict.
Does the Galaxy A15 support eSIM?
Samsung Electronics America states that the Galaxy A15 5G does not support eSIM functionality. A carrier eSIM QR code or phone setting cannot add eSIM capability to that model.
That statement is specifically about the A15 5G. Samsung’s Philippines specifications for the A15 4G list a physical nano-SIM arrangement, but do not explicitly state whether every regional A15 4G SKU supports eSIM. Check the model code and the Samsung support information for the country where that phone was sold before relying on an eSIM verdict.
What SIM does the Galaxy A15 use?
Samsung Philippines lists both the Galaxy A15 5G and the Galaxy A15 4G with dual-SIM capability, nano-SIM, and a “SIM 1 + Hybrid (SIM or MicroSD)” configuration. In the hybrid slot, the second position is for either another SIM or a microSD card—not both at once. These are specifications for the variants listed on Samsung Philippines, so other regional model codes should be checked against their own specifications.

For A15 5G physical-SIM setup, Samsung’s setup guidance directs owners to insert a SIM card into the tray. For activation, service, or connectivity questions, contact the carrier.
How to check your exact A15 variant
- Identify whether it is an A15 4G or A15 5G. The eSIM statement from Samsung US applies to the A15 5G; do not assume that the 4G label represents the same model.
- Find the full model code and sales region. Use the phone’s model information and compare it with the regional Samsung product or support page. Names such as “Galaxy A15” alone may not identify the precise SKU.
- Check Samsung’s eSIM and SIM specifications for that model. Samsung says support can vary by model, country, and carrier. Its Galaxy eSIM supported models and mobile carriers worldwide page, dated July 1, 2026, provides a supported-device list and notes these eligibility differences.
- Confirm service with your carrier. Ask whether the exact phone variant can be activated on the carrier’s network and which physical-SIM options are available.
What to do if you need eSIM
If your A15 5G is the model in question, plan to use a compatible physical nano-SIM rather than trying to activate an eSIM. If eSIM is essential, choose a device whose precise regional model and carrier eligibility are confirmed before purchase. Samsung’s US setup guidance identifies the Galaxy A35 5G as supporting hybrid eSIM, but that is not a universal promise for every market or carrier; verify the exact version against Samsung’s regional information and your carrier.
