No. The Quest 2 charges through USB-C, but Meta does not document a dedicated quick-charging feature or a named fast-charge standard for the headset. A published configuration handbook puts a typical full charge at about 2.5 to 3 hours. Charging while playing is different: Meta says an Oculus Link cable maintains the battery rather than charging the headset during gameplay.
Can you fast charge the Quest 2?
Meta’s cited Quest 2 product and support materials confirm USB-C charging, but do not advertise Qualcomm Quick Charge, USB Power Delivery fast charging, or another branded quick-charge mode for the headset. That means a charger’s high wattage alone is not evidence that a Quest 2 will charge faster; no guaranteed maximum accepted wattage or faster charge window is established in those materials.
The headset shipped with a charging cable and power adapter. For an ordinary idle charge, the Quest 2 configuration handbook reproduced by ManualsLib gives a typical full-charge time of around 2.5 to 3 hours; the handbook’s publication date is not shown. See the Quest 2 configuration handbook.
Does the Quest 2 charge while playing?
Not necessarily. Meta support says: “While in gameplay, the Oculus Link Cable does not charge the device, but it does maintain the battery.” Read Meta support’s Link cable guidance.

In practice, Link gameplay should be treated as battery maintenance, not fast charging. A demanding game may use power faster than the connection supplies it, so the battery can still drain. Results can also vary with heat, workload, cable, USB port, and battery condition.
What charging option should you use?
Use the supplied USB-C adapter for a standard charge
The included adapter and cable are the straightforward choice when the headset is idle. The documented typical charge window is about 2.5 to 3 hours, rather than a guaranteed quick-charge time.

Consider a dock for convenience and controller charging
Anker’s 632/Y1010 Charging Dock is described by Anker as Oculus Ready for Quest 2. It has a magnetic USB-C connector, includes a USB-C cable and charger, and supports charging the controllers as well as the headset. Anker lists an approximate 2.5-hour charge time for the Quest 2 headset and controllers; that is the accessory maker’s stated figure, not a Meta fast-charge guarantee. For a practical choice, prioritize compatibility with Quest 2, whether you want controller charging, and a cable or dock arrangement that suits your setup. Check the product listing for current price and availability. Do not assume a Quest 3 accessory is compatible just because it is also USB-C.
