Does selecting the track require a specific car or license?
The official announcement and update notice do not state that either circuit has a universal car or license requirement just to select it. They list events held at the tracks, but do not provide every event’s complete eligibility rules. That distinction matters: access to a circuit and entry into a specific race are separate checks.

Gran Turismo 7’s World Circuits manual describes choosing a location, then a circuit, then an event. It also says available circuits increase as you progress through the game. So a track may not be selectable yet because of game progression, which is different from needing a particular car or license.
How do I check a race’s car and license requirements?
- Open World Circuits and select the location containing the circuit.
- Choose Yas Marina Circuit or Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, if it is available in your progression.
- Select the event you want to enter and read its event details for eligible cars and any license conditions.
- For a championship, check the license requirement shown on the World Circuits location screen as well.
The listed events include different series, so do not assume that every race at the same track has identical restrictions. The official update notes name the events, while the in-game event information is the place to confirm the current rules for the race you intend to enter.

Can I drive the new track with any car?
Not necessarily in every event. The official sources do not establish that all cars are allowed in all modes at either circuit, nor do they say that every free-drive or race mode is immediately available to every player. If your chosen event restricts eligible cars, you will need to use a car that meets those rules; if the circuit is not yet available, continue progressing through the game and check again.
