What is confirmed about the Phoenix Cyclops release?
Arc System Works producer Takeshi Yamanaka announced Phoenix Cyclops as the first additional character joining MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls as part of its Year 1 content. The official PlayStation announcement, published July 23, 2026, describes his design as inspired by Cyclops’s Phoenix Five incarnation from Avengers vs. X-Men, with Optic Blasts, hand-to-hand combat abilities, and Phoenix Force powers.
The official trailer result previously described his arrival as Fall 2026. That is a season-wide window, not confirmation of a November 2 launch. The sources available here do not establish a time zone, whether availability differs by region, or whether the date applies to every platform.
Is Phoenix Cyclops part of the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass?
Yes, he is announced as a Year 1 additional character. PlayStation’s US product page lists the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass in the Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions and offers the pass separately as an add-on. The page does not establish that Phoenix Cyclops can be purchased as an individual character, so do not assume the pass and a standalone character purchase are interchangeable.

The pass is separate from the Standard game edition. Check the PlayStation Store for your region to confirm current edition contents and availability; the product page’s listed price can change and is specific to its US storefront.
Which platforms and release details are known?
PlayStation lists MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls for PS5 and PC and describes it as a 4v4 tag-team fighter. Its product FAQ gave August 6, 2026 as the game’s release date in most listed markets, with August 7 for New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and Korea. Those are base-game launch dates, not Phoenix Cyclops timing. The available sources do not confirm the DLC’s platform-by-platform release schedule.

For PS5, PlayStation’s FAQ says compatible arcade sticks and leverless controllers work with the game, and button inputs can be customized. These accessories are optional; controller compatibility does not determine access to the character.
