Yes. Playground Games confirms that Forza Horizon 6 supports cross-play between Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam. However, cross-play support does not mean the game is already available on every platform: the official game page currently lists Xbox Series X|S and PC as playable, with PS5 coming later in 2026.
Which platforms can play together?
Playground Games lists four platforms for cross-play: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam. Its official feature announcement says players can play across those platforms. It does not specify whether every multiplayer activity uses identical matchmaking rules.
The game’s official page describes multiplayer activities including co-op LINK skills, Spec Racing Championships, The Eliminator, Hide & Seek, Car Meets, Drag Meets, Time Attack Circuits, and CoLab event building with friends. Those examples show the kinds of activities where playing with others matters; they do not establish that each mode has the same cross-play behavior.
Is Forza Horizon 6 available on PS5 yet?
Availability is separate from cross-play compatibility. As of October 4, 2026, the official game page says the game is playable on Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam, while the PS5 version is coming later in 2026. The page does not give an exact PS5 release date. Playground Games’ May 22, 2026 update also described the Xbox and PC versions as available worldwide and the PS5 release as upcoming: Thank You for Playing Forza Horizon 6!

Does cross-play mean cross-save?
No. Cross-play lets people on different platforms play together; cross-save carries progress between platforms. Playground Games confirms both features for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam in its feature announcement. The announcement does not provide setup steps or explain whether account linking or a particular setting is required.
What carries between Xbox and PC purchases?
Play Anywhere entitlements have a narrower scope than cross-play or cross-save. Playground Games says a digital purchase on Xbox Series X|S or through the Microsoft Store on Windows PC carries the save profile and DLC entitlements between those devices without repurchasing. The announcement specifically excludes Steam from this purchase statement, and it does not establish the same DLC entitlement behavior for PS5. Do not treat cross-play or cross-save as proof that a game purchase or DLC transfers between every storefront.

The official sources cited here confirm supported cross-play platforms, but they do not state whether players need to enable a setting, link accounts, have a subscription, or own a specific edition. Check the current official support instructions for any setup or access requirements rather than assuming they are universal.
