The DC39 is intended to extend or provide Wi-Fi, rather than serve as an audio accessory. The model name matters: unrelated products use the similar name “D39,” so check that a listing explicitly identifies the DC39 Wi-Fi repeater.

The 300 Mbps and 100-meter figures come from the product descriptions and older reviews, including Mi Mundo Gadget’s 2017 review and WirelesSHack’s June 5, 2019 review. They should be treated as published claims, not as results demonstrated in a particular home.

Could the DC39 fill a Wi-Fi coverage gap?
It may suit a basic setup that needs 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi extended and whose router and client devices support compatible standards. Repeater placement is crucial: the device needs a usable connection to the router where it is installed, otherwise it has little signal to relay. A range figure alone cannot tell you whether it will cover a specific room or deliver a particular speed.
The reported access-point mode may be useful when you can connect the device to the router over Ethernet and want it to provide Wi-Fi nearby. Confirm the mode and port details against the exact unit or its manual before relying on that setup; the reviews do not establish port speed.

Is its price still attractive?
Older coverage described the DC39 as inexpensive, but the available sources do not establish a current price, active listing, or present-day value comparison. Treat “excellent price” as a historical review judgment, not evidence that the DC39 is currently available or a good buy. If you find one for sale, compare its price and condition with currently available extenders, and verify that the listing is for the DC39 rather than a similarly named product.

Start with the bands your router uses and the area you need to reach. Then compare supported bands, advertised link rates, wired Ethernet and access-point support, and whether the exact model is currently available. Specifications can narrow the options, but they do not prove how well a device will perform in your home.

For a category reference, TP-Link’s RE300 manufacturer page lists dual-band support, with up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and up to 867 Mbps on 5 GHz. That is a specification comparison only; it is not a performance verdict against the DC39.
