Yes. The Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 paddles can work on Windows PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming when you assign them to controller buttons in an Xbox Accessories profile. Whether the input works in a particular game or cloud client depends on that game and the device you use.
How Elite Series 2 paddles work
The Elite Series 2 has interchangeable rear paddles. In the Xbox Accessories app, you can assign a paddle to a controller button and save the mapping in a profile. A paddle then sends the button input you assigned; it does not guarantee that every game or client will handle that input the same way. Microsoft describes these features for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11 on its Elite Series 2 product page and controller product page.
Use the paddles on a Windows PC
Microsoft lists Bluetooth, the included USB cable, and a separately sold Xbox Wireless Adapter as Windows connection options for the controller. The adapter is optional for ordinary controller-button paddle mappings; you can use a supported Bluetooth connection or USB instead.
- Connect the controller to your Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC using Bluetooth, USB, or an Xbox Wireless Adapter.
- Open the Xbox Accessories app and select the Elite Series 2 controller.
- Assign each paddle to the controller button you want, then save the configuration to a profile.
- Select the profile you intend to use and check that the game accepts the assigned controller input.
These steps follow Microsoft’s documented connection and profile features; they are not a guarantee that every game supports every input.

Use mapped paddles with Xbox Cloud Gaming
You can use the controller profile while playing through Xbox Cloud Gaming, but support is not universal across every phone, tablet, smart TV, browser, app, and game. Xbox conditions cloud play on a supported game and, depending on the device, a supported Bluetooth controller. Check Xbox’s tested-controller guidance for the exact device and client you plan to use. The page is an index for compatibility checks, not evidence that every setup is supported.
Cloud play adds a compatibility step beyond mapping: the paddle must send an input the game accepts, and the controller/device combination must work with the cloud client. If the setup is listed as supported but the paddle does not behave as expected, confirm the profile and test the assigned input outside the cloud session.

Controller-button mapping is not keyboard mapping
Assigning a paddle to a standard controller button is different from assigning it to a keyboard key. Microsoft’s August 3, 2023 explanation of keyboard button mapping for Xbox controllers says that PC users must connect by USB or Xbox Wireless Adapter for controller-to-keyboard mapping. Keyboard input support varies by game: some games may support it fully, partially, or not at all. Those connection requirements apply to keyboard mapping, not ordinary paddle-to-controller-button assignments.

If a paddle does not work
- Check the mapping and active profile: In Xbox Accessories, verify the paddle’s assignment and select the profile that contains it.
- Test the assigned button locally: Try the controller on the PC or Xbox console to see whether the mapped input is recognized there.
- Isolate cloud compatibility: If local play works but cloud play does not, check Xbox’s tested-controller guidance for your device/client and confirm that the cloud game accepts the input.
- Check the connection for keyboard assignments: If you mapped a paddle to a keyboard key, use USB or an Xbox Wireless Adapter on PC and verify the game’s keyboard support.
