The answer depends on what you mean by “multiple destinations”: one live feed distributed to several platforms, or several distinct live videos running on the same YouTube channel. YouTube documents both platform capabilities, but the available documentation does not establish that any particular 24/7 cloud service supports the second configuration.
First, distinguish a stream from a broadcast
YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation distinguishes the incoming audio-video feed from the event viewers watch. A stream carries the feed into YouTube; a broadcast is a distinct live video on YouTube. The API guide states that a broadcast is bound to one stream, and a stream can be bound to up to three broadcasts.
That distinction matters because “multiple destinations” can refer to two different setups. Sending one feed to several platforms is not the same as publishing several separate live videos on one YouTube channel.
What YouTube supports on one channel
YouTube’s API guide documents simultaneous broadcasts on a channel. Its example is a 24/7 feed that stays live while a separate interview starts as another video; the interview can end without stopping the continuous feed. In that documented workflow, one incoming stream can be bound to multiple broadcasts at once, up to the guide’s stated limit of three.

Use separate streams when the broadcasts need different settings
The API guide describes creating separate stream resources when simultaneous broadcasts need different streaming settings. This is distinct from binding one stream to several broadcasts. Which arrangement fits depends on whether the broadcasts can share the same incoming feed and settings.
The three-broadcast figure is a limit stated in YouTube’s API documentation, last updated September 14, 2026. It is a YouTube platform/API capability, not a published concurrency limit for every cloud service.

What “multiple destinations” means for cloud relay services
YouTube also uses simulstreaming for sending one live input through a cloud relay to multiple channels, resolutions, or platforms. The relay receives one high-quality feed and distributes it to the destinations selected by the operator. This can mean broadcasting to more than one platform; it does not, by itself, mean creating multiple distinct live videos on the same YouTube channel.
YouTube’s Help Center says the process can also be repeated to broadcast multiple live streams on YouTube “up to a limit,” but the cited guidance does not give a universal numeric cap. Do not treat that wording as a guaranteed vendor limit or as proof that a particular service can create separate concurrent broadcasts on one channel.

What the published service information establishes
YouTube’s verified-encoder directory describes Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos and Upstream as a cloud studio for 24/7 live video streaming. Those descriptions establish their 24/7 categories, not support for several distinct concurrent broadcasts on one channel, how many destinations they allow, or which plans include such a setup.
Restream’s encoder guide describes selecting channels and configuring an RTMP URL and stream key for its multistream workflow. That supports the destination-selection interpretation—distributing a feed to selected channels—not a claim that Restream creates multiple separate concurrent YouTube broadcast videos on one channel.

- One video, several platforms: Ask whether the service relays one incoming feed to each intended platform or channel, and which destinations are supported.
- Several distinct YouTube videos at once: Ask whether it creates or manages multiple concurrent YouTube broadcasts on one channel, rather than merely sending the same feed to multiple destinations.
- Different settings per broadcast: Ask whether separate stream resources or stream keys can be configured for the broadcasts that need different settings.
- Independent start and stop: Ask whether each broadcast can be started and ended separately while the continuous feed remains running.
- Limits and plan requirements: Ask for the current concurrency or destination limit, any plan restriction, and whether the answer applies to prerecorded 24/7 playback.
These questions keep the vendor’s answer tied to your intended configuration. YouTube’s platform capability alone does not establish the service’s implementation or plan limits.
