There is no official confirmation that Anthropic’s Claude made Grok Bot smarter. xAI has said Grok 4.7 was trained to understand the Grok Bot harness, but that announcement does not identify the model behind every Bot request or mention Claude integration. Treat the headline’s attribution as unverified unless xAI or Anthropic confirms it.
What is Grok Bot?
xAI announced Grok Bot in beta on August 11, 2026, describing it as a team of always-on agents with their own computers that can work inside tools and apps. That is xAI’s product description, not an independent evaluation of how well the agents perform. Read xAI’s announcement of Grok Bot.
What did xAI say about Grok 4.7 and Grok Bot?
On September 21, 2026, xAI announced Grok 4.7 and said it was trained to natively understand the Grok Bot harness. This establishes a connection between xAI’s model and its agent environment, but it does not establish that Grok 4.7 handles every Bot request. Is Claude part of Grok Bot’s model routing?
The official xAI and Anthropic material reviewed does not confirm that Grok Bot routes requests to Claude, uses an Anthropic model, or gained measurable capability from Claude. xAI’s Grok Bot changelog lists product updates, including repository access and routing web traffic through a user’s computer, but the reviewed entries do not report Claude integration. That absence is not proof that no undisclosed or later integration exists. It means the claim cannot be treated as established based on those official sources. A perceived improvement in Bot responses also cannot, by itself, show which model produced them or what caused the change.

In an August 26, 2026 announcement, xAI said Grok Bot was included with SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Pro, Cursor Pro+, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Standard and Premium. xAI also said Bot usage was separate from usage under Grok and Cursor plans.
