Dell announced a $999 starting price for the XPS Googlebook, but the Dell US store displayed the 16GB/512GB model at $999.99 and the 32GB/512GB model at $1,599.99 when checked on October 7, 2026. That is a $600 gap between listed configurations—not proof of a standalone memory-upgrade fee. The 32GB option may make sense for demanding workloads, but buyers should weigh that price against their actual need for more memory.
How much does the 32GB Dell XPS Googlebook cost?
Dell’s US store displayed three configurations and prices on October 7, 2026. Prices can change, and the figures below describe the listed configurations rather than an itemized upgrade charge.

The 32GB/1TB model is $200 more than the displayed 32GB/512GB configuration, so the top price tier adds storage as well as memory relative to the base model. Dell’s September 21, 2026 announcement stated a US starting price of $999; the store’s $999.99 listing is the more precise live price observed on October 7.
Is the $600 price gap worth it?
That depends on whether your work needs more than 16GB of memory. Dell’s displayed listings establish the price difference, but they do not isolate a $600 charge for doubling RAM: they are complete configurations, and no independent workload testing establishes how much faster the 32GB model is or which buyers need it.

When 16GB may be enough
For everyday browsing, streaming, documents, and ordinary multitasking, the 16GB/512GB configuration is the lower-cost entry point. If those tasks describe your use and you do not already run into memory limits, the available evidence gives no reason to assume you need 32GB.
When 32GB may be useful
More memory can be relevant if your usual workload keeps many demanding applications or browser tabs active at once. But the store price alone does not show what performance improvement to expect, and the available specifications do not establish that 32GB is necessary for any particular app. Consider the 32GB model only if your workload justifies the added cost; if you also need more local space, compare the 1TB listing separately.

What do you get for $999?
The base listing is model DX13267 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 processor, Adreno graphics, 16GB LPDDR5X memory, and a 512GB SSD. Its 13.4-inch IPS LCD touchscreen has a 2560×1600 resolution, variable refresh from 30Hz to 120Hz, and 500-nit brightness. Dell also lists Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, a 52Wh battery, and two USB-C ports. Google’s US specification page independently lists the 16GB/512GB starting configuration, processor, IPS LCD display, refresh range, battery capacity, and 65W USB-C charging.
The XPS Googlebook is a premium 13-inch laptop running Googlebook OS, built around Snapdragon X Elite and positioned by Dell for Android users and Gemini Intelligence. Dell highlights its machined aluminum chassis, touchscreen, and Android phone continuity. Those are product positioning and feature claims, not independent assessments of performance or value.

Will it work with your Android phone?
Dell says phone sync requires setup and is available on supported devices running Android 17 or above. The advertised continuity features therefore should not be assumed to work with every Android handset; check that your phone meets Dell’s support and software requirements before buying.

Dell advertises up to 16 hours of Netflix streaming based on its August 2026 laboratory test using a Snapdragon X Elite, 2.5K LCD, 16GB memory, and 512GB SSD. Dell says the test ran at 150 nits with wireless enabled and specified battery settings. This is a manufacturer result under those conditions, not a guarantee of everyday runtime.

Google’s US specification page lists “Up to 18 hours” of battery life, but the captured specification text does not provide test conditions. Because the two claims do not come with matching methodology, they should not be treated as directly comparable real-world estimates.

What to check before choosing a configuration
- Price and capacity: Compare the listed 16GB/512GB and 32GB options against your budget; the 1TB configuration also changes storage.
- Apps and operating system: Confirm that Googlebook OS and the applications you rely on meet your needs.
- Phone continuity: Verify that your Android device is supported and runs Android 17 or above.
- Evidence behind claims: Treat the battery figures as manufacturer claims with different levels of test detail, not independent comparative results.
