Where will Deliveroo use Coco delivery robots?
The companies announced the five locations on 5 October 2026. Canary Wharf is scheduled to be first, with the other four named as later rollout sites. Deliveroo’s announcement and Coco’s announcement describe a staged plan, not evidence that each location has begun taking robot-delivery orders.

The restaurant names identify businesses included in the rollout plans; they do not establish that those venues are already accepting robot-delivery orders. Check the Deliveroo app for current availability at a particular address.
When does the rollout start?
Deliveroo says Canary Wharf is due to begin in October 2026, followed by Milton Keynes, Leeds, Stockton-on-Tees and Nottingham in the coming weeks and months. The announcements provide no specific dates for the four later locations. Canary Wharf Group separately describes its deployment as a 12-month trial; that duration is the Group’s description, rather than a trial length stated in Deliveroo’s announcement. How are the robots supposed to work?
Deliveroo and Coco describe the vehicles as fully electric robots designed for short trips in urban settings. The companies say they travel at walking pace and use onboard sensors, cameras and AI-driven navigation, processing environmental data on the robot. They also say deployments are phased to align with local regulations. These are company descriptions; the announcements do not report independently measured performance or safety results.
Will the robots replace Deliveroo riders?
Deliveroo says most orders will continue to be fulfilled by its rider network. The company presents robot delivery as an additional option for local businesses, not a replacement for the existing delivery methods. That statement is specific to the rollout announcement and does not quantify how orders will be divided in any individual location.

What is the BlindSquare accessibility partnership?
Coco says its robots share real-time information about pavement hazards they identify with BlindSquare, a service intended to help blind and partially sighted pedestrians navigate. Deliveroo says the shared information can help BlindSquare alert users to obstacles ahead. The announcements give no coverage figure, measured safety outcome or independent evaluation, so the intended alerting function should not be treated as proof that the system prevents collisions.

The announcements set out planned locations and company descriptions of the technology, but do not provide measured changes in delivery time, emissions, congestion, cost, safety or employment. Nor do they confirm live availability across all five locations. Those outcomes and local availability should be distinguished from the rollout plan itself.
